 Wieder, on 10 May 2016 - 05:22 PM, said:

Whoa. You thought Marphy Black was being literal?

LoL .. yup, I did think he was being serious. That misconception led to the rest of this, I suppose I could just stop here and what I've said already will make it understood but there's been more things said that need to be addressed.

 Wieder, on 10 May 2016 - 05:22 PM, said:

I cringed at my stupidity at allowing myself to be interviewed, having horrific typing, and being dumb enough to make it public and thus archived for all time.
I then made a mockery of my current self for expressing myself in this here public forum thus continuing my cringe worthy public performance.

It was misunderstood, now you've explained it, now it's understood :P

 Wieder, on 10 May 2016 - 05:22 PM, said:

I gotta say... I think you are severely projecting there.

Nah, I just read it wrong and then when you said you didn't like the "fame" .. I attempted to call your bluff.

 Wieder, on 10 May 2016 - 05:22 PM, said:

You have it completely inverted.

Yup, I did.

 Wieder, on 10 May 2016 - 05:22 PM, said:

Oh I'm sure you have basis. Your basis is your assumption that others must crave the same celebrity you do.

This part here.. is as inaccurate as my initial misconception.
The only "fame" I ever lusted for was for motocross stardom when I was 5-15 years old.
That's long since passed and I certainly don't look for, or expect any fame in general and especially not in the gaming sector, it's simply a hobby, I post about Sw mainly to try and get people into it.
As will be read below, no social media accounts had. This forum and my forum is essentially my "social media."

 Wieder, on 10 May 2016 - 05:22 PM, said:

If I wanted to be famous, don't you think I'd at least have ONE social media account? I work hard for my fleeting illusion of freedom.

I also do not have any social media crap, still facebook free since I made that thread here awhile back and I've never twittered a tweet.
(Hank, Wieder and I have that in common  )

 Wieder, on 10 May 2016 - 05:22 PM, said:

Or maybe you forced a stupid clarification with your own insecurity.

This, coupled with recent ZFG style posting is leading me to believe Wieder is experiencing some disgruntlement? Or you're trolling me now, either or.

 Wieder, on 10 May 2016 - 05:22 PM, said:

I love you, but you catastrophically miss the point here.

I enjoy your existence, presence and hold your interaction with higher regard also  and yes, yes I did.

 Wieder, on 10 May 2016 - 05:22 PM, said:

Or you trolled me. Either is 100% appropriate.

It had a hint of "testing Charlie" but was 95.6% a fuck up on my behalf.

And there we go, now that I've had enough time off work to reply, lol.
I can admit when I made an err. I made one. (Finally) hehehe
/hug.

Now that we're kind of on that topic, what's it been like? Being known in your field of work.
I kinda doubt people who aren't interested or associated with gaming would be familiar with you but, nonetheless.

Shadow Warrior is pretty much the only game I play on a regular basis, usually do a bit of mapping most nights.
I've never been to a gaming convention or anything like that. Never really been over exposed to it let's say. I suppose I've been here for 3 years already, time flies.
My jobs have been more like:
Grow up on farm, farm work since I could walk.
Dishes at restaurant grade 7. Took bus. (summer) ($7/hr)
General contractor helper grade 8 Summer, bus. ($8/hr)
I'm drawing a blank here, always more farm work during it all though.
Concrete plant making shit outta concrete/pizza delivery for lil caesars, grade 12 ($10.50/hr and then pizza tips n stuff after that work)
Landscape Construction, graduate highscool ( $11/hr)
Construction, operating machinery, landscrapers, dozers, dump trucks ($12-$15/hr)
Tried my own computer repair, found charging for windows to be difficult.
Steel plant on a harbour front operating heavy machinery, Cat 980 loaders, excavators, dozers.
Licensed Petroleum Technician (more $/hr)
Quarry, heavy equipment operator, loaders, excavators, trucks, Cat 777D Rock trucks (more $/hr)
Various other stuff, oh .. sold vacuums for a week, lame job, made over $1400 in 2 days but seriously, that shit was lame.
Industrial cash crop farming (more $/hr)

Anyway, I'm a hick.. not really typical gamer maybe.

Also, dare I ask what happened in the Micro-aggression thread? I got in a debate with Wieder, then had to leave for a few days due to life and all that happy horseshit, then I come back to read that shit hit the fan? (I've yet to check the thread for myself).

It got locked by Mblackwell, I thought I'd have a joke and make it look like I did it, TerminX opened it back up. The End.

this is not the thread you're looking for
we don't talk about it. the content could be used in a negative manner (?) .

I'm not sure deletion will prevent that, as I find it hard to believe Gearbox hasn't made copies of that thread when it was still alive.

Maybe it wasn't something that was said, but the direction the thread was heading (?)

The most hilarious thing about the Gearbox thread is that with 'bazinga' we've gotten confirmation that Gearbox has learnt absolutely nothing from Duke Nukem Forever and the sense of 'humor' it contained...and before anyone says 'but, 3D Realms did most of Duke Nukem Forever' remember Triptych wrote the narrative with the full support of Gearbox and The Doctor Who Cloned Me DLC was something else entirely, even though it was based on scraped levels anyway.

I took it down in the hopes that I can work something out with them. It's unlikely, but we can always go make asses out of ourselves in court later. If that happens, I'll put it back up. :)

That was really the terms of a preliminary agreement? Take down the thread where a bunch of forum users are screaming about the stupidity of Gearbox?

Gearbox realizes that the users who are pissed off aren't going away, right?

Don't worry, you can always make another thread for the next asshole-ry move Gearbox will surely make.

Same goes for:

-People who walk slowly and text.
-People who walk slowly and talk on the phone.
-People who treat a two way sidewalk like a one way street for them and all their friends.
-People who swerve left and right and don't let faster walkers by.
-People who tut/tsk at me when I try to go around them for walking slow or walk on the wrong side of the sidewalk.
-People who walk on the left side of the sidewalk.
