This is a stereotype. And as we all know, all stereotypes are inherently evil. Now you've triggered me (and not even in the micro-aggressions thread).

Things we have in common, common being used to describe similarities:

We both have hair
We are both male
We both have skin
We both speak a language
We both like build engine games
We both are users of Duke4, a build engine game related website. Shadow Warrior and Duke3d have similar creators and engine platform.

Things we don't have in common:

I'm a native born Canadian.

Again, using my trusted Oxford World Dictionary, the words common and similarities have two different meanings.
We are both humans, thus by definition it's our common denominator for the first four items.
I do not like the Build engine. I like EDuk32.
We both make use of this forum to exchange ideas, but this activity falls under communication, part of being human.

b.t.w. the dictionary is online, and free. I use World English because it's a bit closer to Canada.

Sorry, Mr. Logician. Your post stated "Have fun running duke4 into the ground." The surrounding posts also implied you had a fundamental issue with how the website was governed. Thus I fail to see how unlocking the thread solves this fundamental issue. No moderators were fired nor were the rules changed to suit your microcosmic ideology. Indeed, absent context, your post gives the impression of a child throwing a temper-tantrum, taking his balls and going home.

The moderator was informed that's not the way this site is run and the thread was unlocked. I was fully prepared to make an exit if the problem was not rectified.

You have me to thank for this forum returning to a state of "freedom." You're welcome.
There's been no thread locking or banning since the great banland debacle of 2015 when "The Special" had to make an appearance now has there.

@Hank - I like you too much to rip into you, I can assure you.. if you like edukE32... you like the Build engine.

I believe you can only do like 5 downvotes a day compared to upvotes which I'm not sure there is a limit.

It prevents childish abuse of the reputation system

Precisely.

It took me forever to childishly downvote every Wienerhole post.

I did that to Blue Lightning. It made him hilariously upset every time. I am so proud of having that message of his on my profile.

Hehe, everybody seems to lick Wieder's bunghole.
He's a cool guy, indeed was a part of 3dr - but he is still just a person, treat him as such. He'd probably appreciate that more.

Simple explanation from me!

If you read the header of the source code you'll find the lines:

Original Source: 1996 - Todd Replogle
Prepared for public release: 03/21/2003 - Charlie Wiederhold, 3D Realms
This simply made Mr. Wiederhold a someone (celebrity, star, or whatever), the one who organized the release of the source code of Duke 3D.

Sin thread, somebody didn't know who you were. You "cringed" and shook your head at your 2016 obliviousness.

Was that not a statement of mourning for lost recognition and or fame?

Seldom do I say something with no basis. I can reply further when I'm at my puter after work.

I see I've been called a cunt again. Is this person looking for recognition also? Or just Comrade number three.....

I was implying that you felt comfortable and enjoyed silly small talk was the high point of my career.

As for that thing that was done 13 years ago... that still ranks high up there. Not many opportunities in life like that.

Whoa. You thought Marphy Black was being literal?

 Robman, on 10 May 2016 - 06:16 AM, said:

I cringed at my stupidity at allowing myself to be interviewed, having horrific typing, and being dumb enough to make it public and thus archived for all time.

I then made a mockery of my current self for expressing myself in this here public forum thus continuing my cringe worthy public performance.

I gotta say... I think you are severely projecting there.

You have it completely inverted, it was a statement of mourning for ever seeking recognition and or fame.

I've stated this more simply... and a decent chunk of the CultureShock mambo dealt with hiser futile attempts to get under my skin.

Oh I'm sure you have basis. Your basis is your assumption that others must crave the same celebrity you do.

If I wanted to be famous, don't you think I'd at least have ONE social media account? I work hard for my fleeting illusion of freedom.

Or maybe you forced a stupid clarification with your own insecurity.

I love you, but you catastrophically miss the point here.

Or you trolled me. Either is 100% appropriate.
