I was going to reply to those posts a few pages ago about fighting and standing up for yourself, but then I realized that the forum had done that annoying thing, where I clicked on The Post Thread, but it didn't go to the most recent page. It went to a few pages back, that's been happening a lot to me lately.

Yeah, you should click on the [331 →] button, not the thread name.

Am I the only one around here who hasn't been in any serious physical fight ever?

I'm twice your age and I have never been in a fight either; being a fairly non-social introvert probably has something to do with that (i.e. the places where people are more likely to start fights aren't places I would hang around in the first place).

Why is it that New Zealand artists always make it big in the US?

Kiwi singer Lorde is swiftly winning over the United States, becoming the first woman in 17 years to top the US alternative music charts.

Video makes no sense to me, what's the story in it?

Why do you think they do?

I wasn't asking that. Based on what statistical data they 'make it big' in US?

I just provided one artist,.
The most famous one was OMC many years back.
But it's mostly the hip hop ones that get reputation in the states.

I won't count Flight of the Concords as they are comedians per say.

Edit, I am on my phone so I can't provide any stats atm.

Are these the only artists in New Zealand? If they are then indeed NZ artists always make it big in US.

As for your question. It's only logical for english-speaking countries to have better potential at billboard success in US rather than for artists in non-english-speaking countries. Although, I might be wrong about it since I haven't looked at actual stats. Besides, many artists still sing in english despite it being a foreign language.

Lol no, we have lots of artists. The problem is that most of the time I don't even know they are from New Zealand.
For example I only just found out that the guy behind that Day-Z mod is a Kiwi...

Highly extroverted. Very assertive. Type A personality. I get into a lot of arguments with strangers. I'm just great at diffusing it.

If you're being a dick to a cashier, you're going to get called out on it.

Uh-huh. An international criminal is the pride and joy of New Zealand.

Dude, I'm from there. You can find better things to brag about. Like marmite or hokey-pokey.

Based on that video I can't understand why Lorde would be popular anywhere except playing at the local pub filled with their friends on a Saturday night.

I didn't know there was Alabama in EU and that Finland was supposedly like it.

I haven't know about Dotcom or cared about Megaupload before the trial. That Lordi girl... I already forgot about her.

DayZ was great. Rough, but brilliant.

Finland produces lots of race car drivers, it's main celebrity export is The Dudesons, the weather is fucking terrible, and the food is shit.

Unlike Southerners, Finns have a reputation for being rude. Also, Nokia is a fucking has been, and the Moto X is going to be American made, so suck it guys.

That's what made that game so scary, it was pretty alien even in its controls, but when you master them it's so rewarding. I started off with good intentions until I got an axe in the back of the head while looking through my binoculars after letting some seemingly harmless guy live in a store, that broke me an turned me into a serial killer in DayZ. I used to leave cars with flat tyres parked or nice guns with no ammo in common areas, then I would stalk the interested player an cut them down with an axe, was such a rush, I can't wait for the standalone. I have never played a game that was so visceral on every level.
