I bitch about being downvoted a bit, but only when someone just downvotes a valid post with no reply because they're too lazy for rebuttal or if they're a douchenozzle that downvotes posts just for the sake of downvoting posts. You know who you are.

disclaimer: no this does not mean I think everyone with a rep of more than 200 is automatically an idiot
Particularly I don't care about reputation system, I just post all the shit I want. If I have reputation some is for posting information about Duke and mods.

Maybe they don't want to get sucked into discussion but still want to disagree about your point. Don't see much problem with that.

Isn't that just your opinion?
Plus what would mean a good post? If I say "wow, Duke Nukem 3d is a great game" would that be a good post? What if I then say "wow, Duke Nukem 3d is a shitty game" would that be a bad post? Both posts are the same except having different opinion about the game. Both doesn't offer arguments supporting either of their claims. If either one is being [down,up]voted for being [bad, good] then the other one should follow the same assessment. Of both shouldn't be even voted.

Aside from the prime rib, I also had a pint of Sleeman's honey brown beer.

I remember that restaurant when I lived in Calgary - I don't do rare, I want my beef well done, but my order was so thick, it was burned.

If it is still around, try The Yum Yum Tree, it was on 17th Ave. It's Hong Kong Style, was always packed, and the beef in oyster sauce is class A, not for a birth day celebration, just to get some super food.

There is just too much shit they put onto me, especially the manager. Fuck this idiot, he's ALWAYS behind my back criticizing everything. Like, he's got no life at all (he lives at the workplace, a hotel; in a month I've only seen him leave for two days) he comes during his off time to stay behind my back and what happens is : he does some things while I'm doing something else or without asking me and then says things like "So what have you been up to? Remember I'm NOT supposed to be here!". Each time I feel like telling him "so? Nobody has called you, I could have done that."
Sometimes he even makes up mistakes : says I did some things wrong while I didn't do it wrong at all.
Today I had to make up for a mistake he did last week with a customer that came back, and the way he told me to fix it was not do-able. So I told him that when I found out when the customer was here and he said "figure something out, I don't have time for that" and THEN he blamed and asked me how comes I didn't prepare the stuff before the customer arrived because I knew he'd come back. What the fuck : not only I had to wait for the customer PLUS to me it was sorted anyway because I thought it could be fixed the way he had told me to.
Other times he blames me for doing things the way he asked me to do them too. He also makes a big fuss out of of small things I do, like blaming me for making extra coffee this morning for breakfast (we had almost 30 customers for breakfast) even though we already had some prepared; well turns out for some reasons this morning they didn't drink and eat much. We can use that coffee tomorrow as well, there is very often coffee left from the day before that we have to use and we know it's gonna be used tomorrow since we have even more customers tomorrow morning (and yeah, they do get coffee made one day earlier, it's not like anybody can tell the difference anyway since it tastes awful in the first place).
In conclusion he blames me for : 1) not doing things that he's doing instead of me without letting me time or asking me to do it 2) fake mistakes that I didn't do 3) doing things the way he told me to 4)not being able to repair his mistakes the way he's asking me to repair them even though it's not possible that way 5)small not important things
I think this guy is frustrated with his life and his job. The hotel/restaurant is doing very badly this season (apparently, he, the cook and the waiter are even planning to quit in 2 months because of that) and like I said it seems to be the only thing he has in his life.
Yesterday he got drunk at diner and then called the boss of the cleaning company we go through. They've had bad relationships forever apparently and even worse so since a week (oh by the way, he also blames ME for that!), so yesterday he was harassing her on the phone AND by e-mail in order to make her stop the contract. It was pathetic, he was like "no YOU stop the contract" and she was like "no YOU do" : he's actually the one who wants to stop the contract but he wants to "win" the situation and i guess that legally he'd owe her money if he stops the contract. So he just kept harassing her with awful loud phonecalls that the entire restaurant could hear and terribly written e-mails with lots of grammer and writing mistakes in them. He was like "Do you think I've ruined her evening yet?! Haha, I bet she's crying herself to sleep!". Geez.
Also a couple of other things make this job not very enjoyable, they're small things which I didn't mind at first, but day after day it's starting to get old. If it was just that i wouldn't mind it really but added to everything else it feels like extra shit 1) I have to listen awful radio stations all day which I can't stand; that or awful songs the waiter is putting. Btw they're not here sometimes (it happens from times to times in early afternoon) I usually either turn off the radio altogether or put my own cds (there is never any customer in early afternoons so it's not like it matters). When they come back they either put the radio back, or lower the volume of my cds or turn it off altogether (not like it was loud or anything and I always pick cds that could not offend a customer if one actually got there).
The other thing is that, a common day at work is 8h45mins in a row with a lunch/dinner break of 45minutes in the middle. It's the only break. Those breaks, especially if it's the diner one, always happen at a time when there is a lot of phonecalls and a lot of customers arriving; which means i get almost no break at all and i constantly have to go back and forth from the table and eat quickly. Today when the phone rang I staid at the table and said "Sorry but I'm not answering. I'm not working 8h45 in a row with no break, you might want to buy an answering machine". He got up and answered.
Edit : oh yeah a third thing I can't stand! You see, the waiter and cook have a break between lunch and diner. Since they both live 30mins away from the place, they usually stay there, which means that while I'm trying to work and concentrate on things that require concentration (like billing and accounting) they play cards, drink beers and talk and laugh very loudly, with their shitty music too; just beside me in reception. It's even worse when the managers joins them (like I said he'd got no life and nothing else to do anyway). They don't even shut up during phonecalls; and they sometimes they even taunt me like when pouring themselves drink "Sorry nothing for you since you're on duty!" and each time the phone rings the waiter mocks me by imitating in an odd voice the phrase I have to say when picking up.
Anyway - in my previous job the sad people were the customers; in this one it's the colleagues and that actually even worse...
Fuck fuck fuck fuck. Sorry for this long post but I had to get it out of my chest.
Edit : should turn the frustration into something useful, I could make the hotel as a map for Duke where you can blow up the entire place little by little. Would be very easy to do too since most bedrooms are identical so I could copy-past them. But then again do I really want to think about work during my free time?

I guess now would be an appropriate time to mention that I was being sarcastic when I called you a comedy god, but you didn't get it and I didn't want to crush your spirit as you seemed like the harmless, excitable puppy type.
Anyway I guess the joke is really on you for thinking you were funny when in fact you are slightly awkward and embarrassing.

...I can understand the use of tazers, here. Those blind samurais can get pretty aggressive towards the holidays. I'm really curious to know what the paperwork for this one looked like.
