Muelesa posted a you tube video but then removed it, i looked up what it was and found the ecat

ECAT Technology

The ECAT will revolutionize energy production as we know it. The energy generated by an ECAT has the following features:

High Energy Density Fuel (200 000 times oil)
Low Fuel Costs (1kg Ni has energy equivalence of 200 000kg oil)
Low Operation and Maintenance Costs (the modular design admits minimal maintanence)
Minimal Fuel Transport Cost (only 2 refuelings/year under continous run)
Zero Carbon Dioxide Emissions
Zero Noise (only noise from auxilliary products <50dB)

The process that makes this possible is called Cold Fusion or Low Energy Nuclear Reaction (LENR). Nickel is fused with Hydrogen and transmutes into copper. This is an exothermal nuclear process that releases energy at around 10MeV per atomic reaction compared to the burning of Hydrogen which only releases 1.5eV per atomic reaction (Burning H2 in O2). Per atom, the exothermal process has an energy content of more than a million times the energy content of the most energetic (per weight) chemical process. The higher weight of Nickel and the fact one usually disregard Oxygen’s weight due to its presence in air makes the net factor around 200 000 when compared to oil.

The abundance of Nickel in the earth’s crust and the low price of Nickel make the ECAT one of the cheapest energy producers around. The ECAT does not pollute or release any carbon dioxide. Put together, there is no doubt that this is a good and safe energy source for the future.

If you are interested in this technology or in one of the ECAT products, do not hesitate to sign up and contact us by using the ECAT Inquiry form.

Cold Fusion expert Jed Rothwell has written an excellent paper of possible applications where he shares his view on this groundbreaking technology:

Cold fusion has been called the ideal source of energy: it does not pollute; the fuel is inexhaustible; it is potentially thousands of times cheaper than conventional energy; and it is compact. “Compact” means both energy and power density are high. Gram for gram, energy density appears to be about a million times better than oil, coal or other chemical fuel; a single, small charge of heavy water fuel will last for decades.

Power density is at least as good as a uranium fission reactor core, but fission requires gigantic, heavily shielded, centralized reactors, whereas cold fusion engines will probably be as small and light as gasoline engines.

These advantages are so remarkable they give people a sense that cold fusion must be “too good to be true.” Yet, cold fusion has no unique virtues”

Now iam not the most sciency guy so i dont really understand if it could work or not but this seems legit,

I was going home on the train with my brother tonight. This really drunk guy unzips his pants to take a wizz, and ten seconds later, these two transit cops busted him.

I'm just posting in this thread because I don't want that thread about American politicians visible from the main page. I can't relate to it at all.

I totally missed that post about cold fusion. I don't even have to read anything to realize how huge this would be if it's real. Although people have claimed in the past they've discovered cold fusion and it turned out to be a hoax.

Actually, if this is real, why haven't I heard about it in the news or anything?

And I just started watching the video, and straight away I see something wrong. They say it'll eliminate the need for oil, however this is not true. Oil will still be needed for plastics and some medicines. It's an important source of hydrocarbons.

So I took a practice Microsoft Office Specialist test just for fun. Yeah, I failed, but the test was nothing more than actually memorizing where stuff is. Just like the A+ exam, and if I were to take the Network+ test, it's probably the same thing.

That test I took at my college, they had me apply my knowledge by actually doing things, rather than remembering things. Instead of telling me "Where's the button to do this", I was given two pieces of paper which were desktop publishing assignments, and I had to use my knowledge of Word to make that. I like those sorts of tests. One was a flyer, and the other one was a document with a border around it.

This time is not a hoax, it can't be a hoax

Some media have published articles, Forbes, MSNBC, Fox new and others... also I saw a show in the italian TV, a lot of e-cat are already working on many coutries

Your right, even if we already can made plastic without oil. Anyway, applications for this still fantastic, is a real revolution

I now Rossi is not the only one to have made a discovery in the field of energy. But the e-cat has no rival in performance. And the time is perfect, oil lobby are at the end, the nuclear controversy, financial crisis.... Above all, Rossi is a true businessman, and many influential people are with him now.

I barely have a clue about American politics. My knowledge is mostly limited to that there's a president called Barack Obama, and there are two major parties called the republicans and the democrats. That's about it. Therefore I don't understand the situation or context of anything that goes on over there.

That's more than I can say what most Americans know about Australia. Come on, without looking it up, tell me the Australian Prime Minister, the two major political parties, and the name of our capital city?

I'm pretty annoyed that our society would be more interested in what actors had for breakfast than the biggest energy revolution ever. It'll only solve like 100 different problems.

Then why even bother with outbumping that topic? What's so irritating about it if you don't give a shit?

Microsoft Flight (Flight Simulator 11) release date: January 2012. The beta began this month. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully it won't be just Hawaii flying around in prop planes like every trailer and screenshot show.

However, I think I barely made it out of the semester alive...I need to recover my lost grades in the Spring or find a full time job on campus to pay for the rest of my schooling. :)

Are you talking about college or something? I heard that was ridiculously super expensive in the US.
