Just noticed this...

My fiance's into the whole Twilight/vampire craze, but in light of the fact that she got her B.S from A&M and is about to get her Master's from SMU before she's even legal drinking age, I'd hardly call her an "idiot". Don't get me wrong, I don't like the franchise any more than you do, but someone's interest in dumb shit isn't necessarily a reflection of their intelligence. It just means they like dumb shit, which I'm sure everyone's guilty of in at least some small capacity.

I know people with phds, masters, dergrees etc who are complete idiots in general, they just know a lot about one subject and people who have little education who are really smart and know a lot of shit about a lot of shit. I don't think it makes you smart to be inside studying all day and night while everyone else is out partying and enjoying their youth, thats not smart its dedicated. The guys who get the best results are usually the dullest people going.

Not saying your girlfriend isn't smart, just that having a masters before shes 21 does not mean she is smart.

Twilight is seriously dumb shit, but I have know smart people who watched it.

Eh, that's old news about "Born This Way", people have been saying that since it was released. But in defense of Gaga, even though her influences are very obvious (that song being an extreme case), she has made some good and original songs, and she is a damned good singer. IMO her voice is much better than those other artists you listed. While I don't like her personally, I respect her talent.

Her voice is hardly better than Cyndi Lauper's.

I recently started playing Team Fortress 2, given that it was free. I don't like Steam and I don't like Team Fortress 2, but it was something to mess about with when I was bored. I am now banned from just about every server. I always got banned for cheating as soon as I got to the top of the board - I wasn't cheating - so I started cheating, if you're gonna get banned for cheating, you may as well cheat right.

Can't be sure I'll bother playing it anymore, the novelty has worn off.

It's people like you doing this that wreak online gaming for others. :D

Why? The object of the game is to have fun, and I am having fun :D

It's people that can't tolerate losing that wreck the game for others. The average game for me consists of;

"Hmm... this server here, connect..." Takes 10 minutes to load on this pre-historic machine... "Aha! Red Team, Sniper, GO!" I get outside and find a good sniping spot "Boom! Headshot!"
"WTF! He shot me while I was stood there building a dispenser! He must be cheating! !voteban"
"If that makes you feel better about losing to me dude, then believe what you will..."
"You have been banned from the server for: Generic Cheating/Exploit infraction!"

All I am doing is balancing the game.

What are everyone's thoughts on the new YouTube layout anyway?

I don't like it. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old one. I don't know why people feel the need to constantly change things.

As proof they recorded the whole thing and put it on youtube.

What? A downvote? Dear oh dear, you deffinitely wouldn't like how I behave on GTA;

Yeah, everyone in the server could hear that, or at least, that and other Disco music.

I feel for ya. I'm not a very good player, I'll admit, but much like a lot of other places in my life, I often get very lucky in online games. It's not skill or anything, just luck. I can't tell you how many shit-kicking dumbasses got pissed at me everytime I got a lucky shot in DNF. Some of the biggest whiners I've ever seen. And see, most of these players are rather decent at the games, much better than me, but they are the sorriest losers ever. I can't think of one time I've complained on an online game except in legitimate circumstances, like when I used to play The Specialists for Half-Life. Cheaters, hackers, and exploiters were so rampant I opened my own server to counteract them and it did very well.

It's not terrible, but not better than the old one. The worst perpetrator of this crap is Facebook. They never stop. But hey, I was annoyed when Google started changing.

Red Dwarf Season 10 has started filming. I was kinda tempted to make a new thread about this but this'll have to do: http://llewblog.squa...e.com/red-dwarf

Also, do zombies have sex? Do they reproduce? Questions of our time...

I doubt they would have the desire. Don't they just want BRAINS?

Do they reproduce?

They do, by bitting people.

Also, don't people get sick of zombies? I do, cause I hate seeing them in almost every action game. They are even present in games like RDR and CoD.

My landing video I put on Youtube now has over 2000 views

I know that's not a lot, but I don't normally get that many. Think my highest video has 2500 views or so.

Just like the readme says don't try play it with the HRP because it will just kill your computer.
Also DukePlus will cause it to crash with to many sprites spawned error.

It took me 65 minutes without autoaim to kill all 4001 enemies xD I like maps like these where you have to kill tons of monsters. It is possible to play it with HRP if you disable models in the options. My computer can play it easily and it's not a good computer.

At the moment I'm sleeping through the day and awake at night. I've been trying to think of things to do in my spare time.

As I can't really run Mapster at the moment, I decided to play with Blood's Mapedit again, I'd forgotten just how primative the engine used to be. I've also made a decision, that next time I make something for Duke 3D I'm not letting people's stupid restrictions hold me back, 2 or 3 things I've started have been wrecked because of people being "I want to play in 8-Bit!" "My computer doesn't run Polymer!" "Don't use new textures and stuff!" - Personally, I see that as an insult to the EDuke32 Team, and looking at what I've done it becomes apparent to me that I am at my best when I use those features, so in future, sod wether people play it or not, all that will matter is that I am happy with the end result.

Roll-on cube maps, spotlights and replacement resources!

^ I don't think it is an insult. Plagman wrote a wishlist for EDuke32, even he acknowledges that there is room for improvement. You need a high end computer to run EDuke32, polymer HRP. Most don't have the cash for it. So it's the rich that will enjoy your work.

I don't see how any of those reservations "wrecked" anything you've done; you act like they somehow stopped you in the past even though they very clearly didn't. It's your project in the end, you can do whatever you want with it and no one's going to tell you otherwise, but that kind of modus operandi is going to come with its drawbacks whether you're willing to acknowledge it or not.

I think the thing people were complaining about is that you'd focus your project around these new features like polymer lights, and not spend enough time on everything else. That's just pure speculation though since I didn't play your last project.
