Why is it that a F4V from Adobe Live Encoder cannot be opened with Adobe Media Encoder without me first running a command line post-processing tool? That makes no sense! Can't their own tools work together? Why? WHY!!??

But, no matter..now I know how to do it so I'm indispensable at work. :)

Found a program to get the password for my mom. It uses the full power of my GTX 570 to do it (GPU accelerated w/CUDA). It's 10 times faster than my 2600K @ 4.5 GHz. Think my GTX 570 does 1.4 TFLOPS versus my 96 GFLOPS.

I am not at all impressed by the Intensity Pro, first, I tried a WinTV Colossus, but the card was too slow and did not record in a format that worked with Vegas or VideoStudio so I nuked it and mailed it back to the seller, with the refund I bought an Intensity Pro - not sure which is worse.

The Colossus was waaay too slow and rarely displayed colors correctly, I used Component video - I also use the component video with my TV, so I know the signal is fine.
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=kklyUjzSMhY

The Intensity isn't quite as slow, but it rarely works at all, pretty much everything on their site is a straight up lie.
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=h7_K_rL_J7U

To make matters worse, the HDMI input will not work with my VGA-to-HDMI box, the card doesn't support Encrypted/HDCP signals, but the box is not outputting an encrypted signal, just plain 720p 60, so I have no idea why I get a black screen. Audio clips all the time, It's Line-Level, 0db, just like everything else, but the card thinks it is too loud, I have to input at around -40db (Noisy as hell!) before it stops clipping, but most of my output sources do not have volume controls, the same thing happened with the Colossus, but I know I'm not going nuts, everything else sits there, just a bit below 0db at peak, usually around -5 to -15 if I can get it there, but not the Intensity, apparently it's too loud.

For further comparrison, here's a video from my old WinTV Express, a budget card I've had for around a decade, running Composite video, the card was on it's death-bed too, it could do much better than this when it actually worked properly, but I still think it's blowing the Intensity out of the water.

To make matters worse, some tit broke the one workstation I left at my mother's house, all the screws are gone, the DVD-RW is broken, the ram is nowhere in sight and my nice 3mm steel case is bent, it's a Pentium 3, but it cost a lot to get it up to scratch in the day. My camera also decided to die with a tiny "pop" whilst I was trying to film a rant about all of this crap, this has not been a good year for hardware and I'm about ready to throw it all in the trash and give up. I was going to build a Xeon E3 system to get me by for a while, but I might just move on to building the big E7, which was planned as my final build and then leave it at that.

So on Sunday I was visiting my brother and we were in line for some food. My brother was late getting in the door to the restaurant, although he just wanted to get in line since he was paying. Anyways, these people behind us thought he was rude because he forgot to say excuse me. This lady made some stupid comment "Well that's their generation for you". I don't get how some 40-something year old woman is any better than our generation. I looked mine up, and my bro and I are kind of on the border between the generation from 1965-1980.

Anyways, I just thought that woman was rude.

Some places state Generation X goes from 1965-1981, 1982, or 1983. They're not sure. Thing is I don't seem to fit in with all these people from the 90s with their cell phones, texting, and other stuff, which is apart of the Internet Generation (around 1990-present or so).

Still, someone in their 40s isn't exactly old. It's middle aged. Now someone in their 60s, that's getting up there.

Anyone else hear how Alec Baldwin is a douche bag? Well, he has always been a douche bag but now he is known as a douche bag on American Airlines explicitly.

Yeah, I pretty much lost all respect for that guy after hearing that voicemail he left on his daughter's phone a few years ago. What grown-ass man calls his own kid a "pig"? Jesus...

Who cares? If he's a good actor his personal life means nothing to me. Especially if I never even met him.

Asked social network's support to delete old page with my fake self. The page got deleted the same day. Kind of annoyed me when people from work discovered this page. Although, I probably wouldn't even know about it if they didn't. Hope no one else create another one, especially the one that quite frankly looked and felt like the one I would have created myself. Even grabbed a photo from page since I haven't even seen it before.

Just got back from writing my Word 2007 Advanced test. Pretty easy compared to that Excel test. I got hung up on the VLOOKUP function on the Excel test. Probably why I only got a B- which translates into 70-75%. Eh, it's a pass. Whatever.

Not liking someone as a person doesn't automatically equate to boycotting them as a professional or an entertainer. I don't even like Alec Baldwin as an actor, though, so a better example in my case would be Ted Nugent. As a person, Nugent is easily one of the most obnoxious, immature, sanctimonious douchebags I've ever had the displeasure of hearing on talk radio. And as a musician he's not that good either (which is one of the reasons he's so annoying), but Free-For-All was a really good album and if I didn't already have a copy of it, I wouldn't have any qualms with buying it.

Wtf? Since when is a B anywhere in the 70% range? 70% should be a C-...

Beats me. Maybe they got the numbers wrong. According to this, a B is anywhere between 70-79%.

However, this is what my school uses.

Yep, I hate young people they always think they are the first generation to ever be "cool". I certainly did when I was 14 or 15, I even liked hip-hop "music" though honestly I have no idea why, its fucking horrible. Also most teenagers bug the shit out of me with their identity crisis's, and loud laughing just so everyone else knows they are laughing. I wish I could go back in time and kick the shit out of myself when I was 15 and all my friends for that matter.

I guess you could say teenagers are noobs at life and its irritating watching them make the same mistakes over and over again because they know it all and can't listen to their elders.

There is a difference between being an elder and being a dumbass who keeps voting in Republicans and Democrats, for example.

Also, hip-hop rules, you just gotta leave the mainstream pop culture shit alone.

Where I am, a C- is a pass, and 50% is also a pass. So if you screw up half of the test, you get a C- and are considered good enough and go onto the next level.

Yeah true.

I used to love Cypress Hill, NWA, Company Flow, Dr Dre, Snoop, Tu Pac and all that before the real dire shit like 50 Cent came out, it was awesome when I was a street punk kid but as you get older it becomes meaningless. Its funny because my dad used to tell me that but I never listened to him, don't you ever wonder why there are so few goth adults or b-boy adults or any of that shit? There are only ever rocker adults, because rock....rocks. Stuff like hip hop is usually just a phase people go through and as life starts making a bit more sense as you get older you gravitate towards stuff like Leonard Cohan and Pink Floyd because it makes more sense to you (not everyone of course). I could be wrong you know, but off all my friends who grew up in the hay day of hip hop when it was actually decent nearly none like it anymore. I still like a bit of Grand Master Flash because hes hilarious a ha ha ha.

How anyone listens to modern "rap" is beyond me, why would someone want to hear someone talk about how great they are and how much money they have, Id nuke the lot of them given the chance waste of atoms they are.

Most of the rap I listen to is because it's socially and politically conscious, like Immortal Technique or Chuck D. Though, I always gotta listen to some Biz Markie for some originality and flair. Dude is a genius.

I think, the baby boomers rule the public media and radio song lists, yes there are still a lot of them that look like a Rocker from the 60'. Goth is a sub culture. Only a few clowns dress up as clowns, but those make it on wiki and CNN, the rest are looking for beauty in a vicious world.
