If it will be easy then you don't need luck.

They actually tested me on something I didn't really understand, so hopefully that won't cost me the entire test.

Edit: Got my course marks back: 92% on the course. As for the exam, my instructor said the thing I was having trouble was only worth about 4 marks out of 70.

Just played the Hard Reset demo. It's pretty damn cool. Reminds me alot of Painkiller. :(
I recommend that you guys give it a go as well, it's pretty damn awesome. The futuristic city setting is amazing, it reminds me a bit of Blade Runner.

Oh, and I found this rather amusing.

Is Hard Reset the one which is supposed to be oldschool and non-linear? I might give it a go.

Serious question: What makes seafood "sustainable"? I am at a loss here...

If you consider current trends in fishing, it actually isn't. At all.

It's just bullshit industry propaganda, like Exxon trying to pass of fracking as safe.

Yeah, i hear that there is alot of research being done on creating what they call "fish farms" now, basically trying to domesticate fish like cattle. Seems like a good idea with all this overfishing going on.

I was at an organic food store and I saw a sign that claimed all their seafood was "sustainable" and I'm still not sure what that is. It sounded like bullshit to me...I'm just confirming.

Maybe they actually meant environmentally sustainable as in their harvesting and transportation has a low carbon foot print? (Which is also stupid.)

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center.

Hard to believe it's been 10 years.

I still remember the attack. I was a 8 year old kid, and became really annoyed because every single TV channel kept looping the same footage over and over and over, which meant I couldn't watch the Simpsons :(

Fish farms have been around for awhile actually, but they're really not a viable alternative over catching wild fish, reason being that most the fish raised in those farms are fed by other fish (anchovies, largely) that are caught in the ocean. IIRC 40% of wild fish actually go towards food for the farms. It's the most cost effective way of sustaining the farms, but it's also hilariously self defeating, and it kills more than it produces.

No, if the store considers it sustainable because the fish is being sold under the MSC's ecolabel, then it isn't bullshit at all, it's conscious capitalism, which is a good thing. It means that the store only supports fisheries that are operating responsibly (i.e, not over-fishing, because ATM rampant commercial fishing is emptying out the ocean and killing off entire species).

I was working at this print shop when it happened. I was doing a one month work experience through my high school.

I know a guy whose birthday is September 11. I don't know anyone born that day (I don't think I know anyone born that year, come to think of it).

I was at school. Junior high is the best time to experience a terrorist attack: you go from "WTF?" to "Day light come and we drop de bomb" in the span of about a week.

It's sad that america got bombed. But the same thing happens many other places on earth. Why is it that people don't cry as much when innocent people in iraq gets bombed? It's more sad that countries earn money on it. The only thing they have to do is to say that they are sorry.

I would go so far as to say that America has become the terrorist now.

Arab commandos are called terrorists and Israeli terrorists are called commandos.

I'll paraphrase something I read on 4Chan the other day in response to a 'God will protect Israel' comment: "Fuck you. Why would God protect a bunch of assholes who piss everyone off and killed his son?"

We've got Canada's Kiefer Sutherland to help battle those terrorists.

In other news, I'm thinking about finding shows to replace The X-Files. Honestly after going through the first couple seasons, I think they must have mastered them from VHS tapes or paid a monkey to make the DVDs.

Anyways, we've got Fringe for the paranormal stuff. Sanctuary does the "monster of the week". Any other ones out there that are good and would fill the other parts? Personally I don't watch The X-Files for the Mulder/Scully relationship. I watch it for the paranormal stuff. Smoking man has been replaced by Mass Effect's Illusive Man, at least for me. Same personality.

Tales from the Darkside and it's successor Monsters are both pretty good, and definitely underrated. I'd say check'em out. You can usually catch Tales on during the daytime on the Sci-Fi channel, and both usually come on Chiller pretty often.

That's because Terrorism only happens in America! Posted Image

Sometimes London, and maybe in some countries I haven't heard of, but I can't recall any terrorist attacks in Australia. Hell, we were barely even touched in the 2nd World War. The Japs bombed Darwin (capital of the Northern Territory, far north), and I think a Japanese submarine was detected in Sydney Harbour at one point, but that's about it. They wouldn't even set foot on our soil.
