Yeah. With a $1500 3D printer and the materials, you can print your own firearms. Pretty fascinating stuff, but as far as I know, they haven't designed any guns that can shoot more than a few shots before breaking. Although, if they used the right material, it would probably work better. The point, however, may be to make a gun that is not going to set off a metal detector...
