I've been in Jewish neighborhoods in NYC many times. Peaceful, without people getting in my face. No one gets in my face trying to give me pamphlets, there are no billboards about deities, I can just be myself. I'd take that over Christfags or Durka Durkas any day. inb4 Shomrim

That doesn't change the fact that Israel does whatever it wants. As long as they have the U.S. backing up everything they do, it will stay that way. They are all big bullies to each other. Israel should have never been formed, but now it's too late. You think they would have learned about possibly starting another world war rather quick after WWII started because of the Treaty of Versailles.

The region was not "fine" by any means. It suffered from the same colonial revolts as nearly all other British colonies. Jews were regularly massacred. During the Second World War the spiritual leader of Palestinians Muslims openly supported Hitler. The Arabs opposed the UN partition plan while the Jews supported it. Israel has been fighting purely defensive wars since its foundation. The current policy is a result of frustration: Israelis simply don't believe that anything good will come out of further concessions. Even so, only a tiny minority is in favor of the idea of annexing the West Bank.

The UN resolution that was supposed to found Israel and Palestinegave a disproportionate amount of land to Israel while causing significant relocation of Palestinians. I think that there is a slight difference between Israel as a nation and the Jewish faith with all their derivatives sects and cults.

Judging as a nation, the Roman Empire tried to remove Jews from their territory and this mission was handed down all the way down to the British Empire. Unfortunately, along came the Nazis and got carried away with this mission and the 'world' searched for another solution and cancelled this two thousand year old tradition. It was convenient to establish arc enemies inside a vast enemy territory and hope for everlasting war and therefore indirect dominance.
