Apitvas were great dude. Proprietary, yes, but reliable and they generally performed better than other machines in their class. Well worth the price premium, but for that amount of money if it were 20 years ago Michael Dell would be getting my hard earned cash.

I will say though, their "MWAVE" modem/sound card combo cards sucked horse balls.

and I still have it !! lol
Shortly after I got it new, a power surge zapped my modem, Future Shop came out and swapped it out on warranty. I saw him do it and was like "Woooow.. it's that easy eh?" .. proceeded to fix/build my own shit from then on.
That was really it for hardware reliability issues when it was an everyday puter.

Monitor is dead though I'm pretty sure... last time I hooked it up I think it was pooched. The quantum bigfoot 2.1gb hdd died awhile back also, got a 6 gig 3.5" in it now.

It's in storage .. not heated, that and all the other computer stuff I have in there has been subjected to +40 celcius and -40 celcius many times. It's all chillin' at about -15c right now. I know, that's bad... I have an xfx 8600 GT xxx in there and I see a good size capacitor is bulged.

I remember seeing how well a friends HP p2 350Mhz played the q3a demo .. I was jealous .. it was amd k6-2 450 time + a voodoo 3, bought the chip and mobo used, I guess it was the first puter I ever built. Windows 98 first addition was so bad.

First computer in the house however was an IBM XT .. dual 5.25" floppies no hdd. I scrapped it years ago in a moment of poorness and regret it. I saved a 386 over it ... I'm sad I ever scrapped any computers. Hardly get fuck all for them anyways.

Anyone here ever used to use the Telix program for BBSs and such? Anyone ever prank their friends back in the day with the sub7 trojan horse? lol I remember talking to a friend on the phone and flipping his screen upside down + opening closing his cd-rom drive, he flipped right out.

C'mon Viper, you must have heard of Rodger Ramrod...

Hospital in an hour to get cancer cut out of my back again... hope this isn't becoming a yearly thing.

@Robman; I dunno, not the only time stuff like that has happened, women don't like me and seem to just know I'm a sleaze-bag... Still, there's ways around it.

On the computer thing, mine is like this;
Posted Image
> 386SLC-25
> 8MB Proprietary RAM
> Very small Hard Drive
> Cirrus VGA with 1MB RAM, upgrade sockets don't work...
> I fitted an Opti 82C930 in around 1999 but removed it around 2009.

I have the monitor, keyboard and mouse too. Keyboard sucks, it's like a Model M but with keypad and arrows, makes this horrible clicking sound and feels like you're trying to shove your fingers up your ass. Gets right on my arthritis and makes a racket. Pieceashit. Then again, it was IBM. The first PC in the house was an "Atlantic" branded Pentium, bought in early 1993 so right around the launch of that platform. That was upgraded to hell and I have the parts that ended up in there, that 486 uses the case now though. There had been other computers in the house before though.

@Viper; I don't have that Phenom anymore, it was defective so I got rid of it. At least I got a 1GB stick of RAM out of it I guess.

They, in their wealth, are confirming with their own signatures what anti-Semites used to slander them with in days gone by: We, the elders of Zion, pull the strings of Congress, and the congressmen are nothing but marionettes who do our will. If they don’t understand our words, they’ll understand our threats. And if in the past, we ran the show from behind the scenes, now we’re doing it openly, from center stage. And if you forget our donations, the wellspring will run dry.”

Wasn't the SATA controller on the mobo bad? Not the chip?

Anyway, gimme a holler because I tend to get used laptops in that I refurbish. This happens quite frequently and I should have a couple Core 2 Duos soon. I usually just end up giving them away after I refurbish them or have people pay for the parts at cost if they want them. I'm one of those guys who dissects the whole machine and upgrades the processors and shit. Used mobile C2D's are so cheap it makes no sense to run the original slow chip. All they need to work in the UK is a different power cord, the AC adapters support 110/240v no sweat.

I'm getting a Compaq C700 soon. Supports up to a 2.53/6MB cache Core 2, has 3GB RAM (Can't run 4GB), 80GB HD, Intel X3100 graphics, 1280x800 15" 16:10 display (New-ish, ripped from another barely used C700, new battery and keyboard and fan. That'll be what's in it when I'm done with it. I doubt it would be super expensive to ship to the UK.

It's gonna cost me next to nothing to refurbish it. Also I can probably snag a 120GB/7200RPM drive from work.

They witnessed someone's last forté.
It was something to do of course.

If you understand C++, you understand UE4 in all ways except UE4 semantics which are almost useless outside of UE4.

Gentlemen, when urinating in an upright position through the fly of your pants, are you tired of the elastic band of your underwear slightly restricting your urine flow when placed under the balls for single handed wielding?

Pulling your gitch down further, pissing through the underwear hole or using two hands is just heresy.
I think we should invest millions into this.

Have a sex change operation, or better yet cut the middleman and just sit on the toilet now.

This totally goes against the want of investing millions. Unless that sex change operation turns you into the borg where you piss through your tear ducts. In this case, we're gett'n somewhere.

Sit down? .. Sometimes the seat is cold and I'd hate to be though of as effeminate, needlessy sitting. Especially in a public environment where I should stand and have my junk peered at by the fellow urinal jockey to my right.

You mean the overlapping segments in the front that allow you to whip out Lo Wang without adjusting your underwear otherwise? If you don't use that, you should grow a pair and start.

I like to stand at all times possible so I can make as much noise and be as awkward as possible. LISTEN TO MY STREAM EVERYBODY! ... such voluminous sound, makes the women swoon.

Oh I use it ... it's extra fumbling however and often they have a button.
Somtimes it takes that extra moment of time to realign the underwear hole with the pants opening and well, time is money.

@Fox, what kind of subliminal videos you pushin' ? I saw that flash.

Someone is bored and has no problem posting photo evidence. At the very least they serve to strengthen my character.
What the following does to my character is another matter entirely.

When you sit, do you cross your legs? .. I don't.
You guessed it - balls in the way.

Really tempted to post that picture of the dude with elephantitis carrying his balls in a wheelbarrow.
Only then might you have an idea of the true testicosity being thrown around here. When I leave a room, people pull hair out of their teeth for the next 10 minutes.

Anyone else tired of the way their fingers smell after a good ass scratch? Me neither.

Girlfriends consistently sing the "do your balls hang low" song after the reproductive organ reveal.

Stop trying to make fun of my disco stick danglers.
I'll drown in a puddle of my own tears.......nah whom I kidding, these things are buoyant as fuck.

I don't pay to heat my home, my gigantic balls radiate more heat than a small reactor.
I moved to Indonesia where my dollar goes farther and I can afford 2 lovely fan girls, they gently tuft a cool breeze on my boys for 8 solid hours a day.

Testicosity isn't a word, did you know that? It should be.
Spoiler

Damnit Mark, why don't you enjoy the random crap being flung at your screen?
Fine, I'll pick my balls up and leave, give me a second.

I know when I'm in a room of little testicular fortitude, out of my pictures nobody has identified with a single thing.
Here I'll help, motocross bike Honda Cr 250, Ford Explorer 4x4 SUV, beer, Stihl 026 professional model chainsaw. And that behind the chainsaw is wood gentlemen, it grows outside. .

I'm grabbing my balls in this picture, you can't see because the transverse thruster ring is in the way.
Just had to rewire some solar panels and she was back up and runnin'. No big deal.
