Sometimes that little "-" is a little too close to the "check who voted" button. Compensated elsewhere.

didn't even notice until you said something. wouldn't have cared if i did notice on my own.
It just means you don't agree with the comment enough to bother making an extra mouse-click.

besides, the " not [sic] enough fat from organic turkey bacon" comment more than made up for it.

I have to agree with this, I'm getting pretty bad anxiety problems lately to the point I can't enjoy my days off work anymore.

Jesus dude. Same here. I'm not sure if I'd call it anxiety exactly, but I have to get up at least two hours earlier every day so I can convince myself to even get out of bed. On days I'm off, sometimes I just can't be fucked to get up.

I'm sure it will be. Not tooting your horn, AMC TC is one of the greatest Duke Nukem 3D mods of all time. I highly recommend it to everyone. Viper asked me what Duke stuff to play and that was the first out of my mouth.

Wait ... there's people out there who love getting up when they're told and devoting 8-15 hours a day to shit they don't give a hoot about, just so they can play ball with a society they know is fucked? .. hold the phone, stop the presses.

Atleast your shit was likely liquid? ... sunflower seeds man.. gather at the exit of your ass and proceed to cause painful spiked blockage.

Don't expect episode 2 to be more of the same; the themes/settings are different. I also had a hand in many of the maps, so for better or worse my personal design preference will be present there, and will naturally be different to episode 1 maps by other mappers. Overall the scale has been upped a bit.

HT... what is your computer?

Dual Pentium III Coppermine 1000MHz (750MHz due to being on an older 440BX board, can overclock to 1GHz)
SuperMicro P6DGU
2GB SDRAM at 100MHz (CPU @750) or 133MHz (CPU @1GHz)
Quantum Atlas (x2) 18GB SCSI-Ultra2 LVD
Nikimi 40GB IDE
ATI Radeon VE 32MB
SoundBlaster AWE64
Winnov Videum 1000 AV Plus
3Com 3C905
Early Pioneer DVD-RW
Slot loading CD-ROM Drive

Can't afford to replace it and it's winter, so I'm barely eating as I have the cost of heating on my electricity bill. It's the more stable of the two, because I have a Dell laptop with a Core Duo processor that was recalled for fires or some shit.

Edit: Forgot the RAM. Working on reprogramming the BIOS so I can start it up with 1.4GHz Tualatin-S processors on slotkets that provide their own power.

Dude, businesses throw computers out now with 1000x the power of that... Go get one from a dump or something.

This is illegal in the UK and all the bins at the facility are watched 24/7... Annoying, given that the nearest landfill is only two streets away. Most I've ever stolen from them was a C64 but it seems common practice around here to destroy everything before dumping it.

I tried selling things but nobody wants it - even with 25% off the regular prices for what I was trying to sell.

A lot of our businesses use old systems anyway, best example being our local Toys R Us still using IBM 5162 and 5170 systems for it's in-store system, the bank I am with still ran OS/2 until 2010, the cash points were using green CRT displays. We're not tech savvy round here.

The newest machine in a three mile radius is the PoS machine at the gas station, that was upgraded to Windows 2000 a couple of years back and I suspect that was due to some necessity - some hardware probably failed and the replacement probably didn't work on Windows NT 4.0

Trying out the dough mixer I got for Christmas by making pizza, it's pretty cool this is the 4th one I made this weekend, red onion, jalapenos peppers, parmasan, cheddar, and monterey jack, extra virgin olive oil. When making a home made pizza without a wood oven the trick is to make sure the pizza hits a very hot surface and starts rising quickly, this can be tricky without a pizza shovel or pizza oven. To get around this I make the base on a plate with a bit of flour on it and then slide it off the plate directly onto a flat slate that I have preheated in the oven, works pretty well I am aiming for the Italian style pizza with a thin base, lots of air pockets, not too much topping, and a light tomato sauce.

No point in false modesty here, they are pretty amazing.

@ HT

That's awesome man, P3s were a pretty sweet processor in their day. Used to love playing around with them. Still have a bunch laying around as I've pretty much owned the gamut when it comes to older hardware. I think I liked my p3 733 and 933 the best. Did own a p3 1000 and Celeron 1.1Ghz also.

I also used to grab stuff from the dump, hehe.. I'd go in with real scrap and spend the next hour in the back of the lot ripping apart mountains of CPU towers.

I tried a bit with AMD cpus, k5 100Mhz? - k6-2 450Mhz all the way to the + series ( like 1700+/3500+) I still say if you want a real computer, buy INTEL. First computer I got brand new was an IBM aptiva model E03 PR166 cpu. ... cyrix 133mhz processor.

I feel like an ass for having hyper threaded p4's and a core2duo sitting around doing nothing.

@ Mark

She better not be, morning wood is a sacred time of day. I finally found a girl who wants to get laid just as much or MORE than I do(even 4 years into it) which has blown my mind .. and.. (There is much power in the reach around!)
The last gf of 5 years, in order to get laid at my whim it turned into more of a barter system.

Not awesome for daily use though and believe me, rendering 720p videos with it is a pain in the ass. I have barely enough RAM and the board is maxed. I underestimated the hard drives a little, wasn't on the machine at the time and constantly have to erase things to keep space available anyway. I did a video on this machine ages ago, back when the Pentium D was working.

Believe me I've stolen my share of garbage but the best thing I've ever really pulled out of it was for pieces of a 486 (U5S / UM486, also has a video, several actually as I'm quite attached to it). That got me through a video editing course and into college - yeah, Late 2004 through April 2005 I was authoring DVDs on a 33MHz 486 running Windows Chicago and I still know every word from the Eminem albums that were around back then (these were the only discs I had to hand at the time and couldn't play MP3's on it). I was given a Phenom X4 920 a while back for free as it was on it's way to the trash, but the motherboard was crappy (Asus - says it all) and the CPU stability was jokes - AMD, so no surprises there - so I ended up throwing it in the fire bin.

AMD used to make decent stuff, the K5 was good in the correct applications and the K6 was awesome for the price, the Athlon though was unstable and they had to resort to outright lies before rushing the Athlon 64 and losing me forever. Intel have made slip-ups though, the first Celeron (266), the 810 chipset, the Core 2 line of processors... Still, nothing touches their current line-up and the prices aren't really more than AMD now either. My first computer was an IBM PS/ValuePoint, was already old and was nicked from Comet (Electronics retailer, now defunct) during an upgrade; has a 386SLC-25. Cyrix really lost steam once things started actually using the FPU.

I wouldn't feel like an ass... My best friend has built himself a cheap knock-off of the Xeon E3 rig I specced before I ran out of money.

Whilst you were talking to Mark in the last bit, whatever, I'm rambling now so; When I was in college and also especially when I was doing the figure skating I met quite a few girls who wanted to get laid as much as, if not more, than I did... Some of them were a bit weird, but I'll try anything once.

Anyway, there was this rich girl, I didn't know she was rich but I ended up going to her house, she told me where she lived and I headed off out that way (Near Cottingham, an outlying village, house was in the middle of nowhere really). Got there, found she lived in a huge house, I remember there being this driveway and some Lexus parked in it. When I was let into the house everything was either white paint, glass or chrome... The Coffee table was glass so you know she was fun

Back then I was in the care of social services so my property essentially consisted of a 16x8 foot room, complete with piss-, puke- and god-knows-what-stained carpet and an underlying smell of alcohol and cannabis. I owned only one set of clothes. You can imagine how out of place I felt there, with my patched up jeans, holes in my t-shirt and shoes that talked - dripping mud from riding my push bike there and leaving hand prints on the wall from the dirt on my handlebars.

Also at that time, I used to take my music seriously and I only had a two-octave controller keyboard and a crappy Roland sequencer that didn't work properly to run my MU80. On my way through the house I noticed a Korg N-series keyboard, discovered it had the XG add-on card in making it compatible with my Yamaha and I asked if I could borrow it, she said I could if I wrote her a song. Usually I'd have had my fun with her and disappeared then gone off and found some other girl in a week or so, but I wanted to use that keyboard.

I have memories of me sitting at the keyboard over the proceeding weeks with my moldy smelling sequencer hidden in a bag and her saying stuff like "Hey, I hear there's a movie on at the cinema..." and "My mam just went out, so we're on our own now." while I usually replied "Mmm..." and kept nearly orgasming on how awesome the keyboard was. Trying to show her enough attention so that I could keep coming round and using the keyboard... Evidently not enough as when I'd about finished the song she called the whole thing off.

Her dad hated me, had this obsession that I was trying to steal stuff - I wasn't... Well, might have stolen his daughter's innocence, but that's about it.

Often wonder if I made a mistake really, wasn't too long after that when all the pussy dried up. I was glad she ended it though, she seemed to want something more meaningful and whilst I was on the verge of starting to think of things like that I wasn't sure yet and wasn't sure how to tell her, most of the girls I messed with were in it for the same thing as me and you just didn't talk anymore.

Last time I said "Hi," to a girl I got slapped in the face and accused of rape.

Yo High Treason you still got that Phenom II quad core right? A decent mATX board that'll handle that chip and support DDR2 RAM is like sixty bucks stateside.

Although they are getting pretty rare, Newegg is down to a single model, but I've used that one in a build before and it was solid.
