I would like to see that one. I imagine you could use the dancer as reference for the stripper backside.

I would encourage Reaper to finish the static pickups first before devoting much work to the animated actors, as they are both more complex and each frame is a separate voxel, meaning more work.

Thanks to ReaperMan and Spirrwell, the first official voxel pack release is available at the HRP site. It comes with the new maphacks I made for HRP 5.1 update pack to guarantee correct rotations ingame. Great work everyone, and hopefully we will see more voxel-awesomeness soon! :D

Yeah, i was going to change that, but i never got around to it. I was going to make a new armor pickup and add shadows too.

All of that stuff will be in the next release.

A short reminder:
The maphacks are unfortunately not optimized for the shareware version. These have different sprite IDs, therefore the rotations and corrections will not show up there. Everything should be fine in the full version, though. Parkar had some tool to convert IDs within maphacks once, maybe he can eventually do the same thing again. It would make sense now since hacks are pretty much final, at least until new models get added.

Update. The pack isn't big and the switches are somewhat important IMO.

1) People can't wait
2) I can update the links on HRP site quickly
3) Don't wait

Wow, cool pack, recently tried it and it's really impressive to see previously flat objects volumetric, and yet their look is kept close to the original 2D sprites. Yup, I luv voxels, and playing Duke with voxels actually resembles playing Shadow Warrior which is one of my favorite games as well. =) Keep it up, ReaperMan, I'm eager to check the whole thing!
Not all objects look fully consistent to me though, maybe access switches should be more protrusive.

So you want me to make the switches stick out more... anything else you would like to see changed?

Otherwise it's a very nicely done pack and it perfectly fits 8-bit Duke's style. Fairly nothing to change in fact...

It doesn't work in Polymer mode here, maybe you should try it under Polymost?

If I'm not mistaken they work best under 8bit.

Ah wait, I had made a mistake in the Eduke32 setup at the start. Working now and looking very very good. Hope this project will be finished sometimes in the future.

They are HRP models converted to Voxels I believe.

Yeah, those are definitely converted from old HRP models, and Reaperman makes his straight from the original sprites. I don't really see the point of what the guy above has done, since they look almost identical to their model counterparts, and I doubt they can be used in the software renderer either due to their high resolution and what looks like 32-bit colours.
