at least this video confirms that tripsbombs and probably pipebombs will not count as the two weapons you can wield :rolleyes:
i just cant take that we finally get to see the duke!! and then its shitty camera o.O duke and us deserves far better after 13 years

I always wanted to stick trip mines on enemies in hl1 lol. It seems so did somebody at 3dr!

dI-MeisterM it is 100% gameplay. it is very possible to make that kind of gameplay. in fact it is not the hardest coding to do. still amazing everytime you do it :rolleyes:

If it's a special move, it would be a prompt (ie 'Press A'). I don't see one of those.

Here's a cool detail. Look like it attached to the pigs armor and not just anywhere (like is face).

I think this bomb action was only possible in that special scene with that special pig (cop). And I don't think it's done with a special button/key command, especially because they were too lazy to bind more than 2 weapons to (controller) buttons.

well the 2 weapon system is harder to create than the usual "you can carry all the weapons you want" i am sure that they have a pretty sweet system prepared for us.

and.

when you are close to enemies you can obviously do some punch or something.
it might be that if you use that binded key with a tripbomb then this happens.

else i just think that if you are close to a pigcop looking at it. then he simply just plants the tripmine on the pig.

Well if the release date actually is April 2011, I kinda don't! I can't remember a game where it's demo was released 4 months in advance! But it would be an awesome move by GBX! The demo has confirmed multiplayer so we could keep us busy until the release of the full game. :rolleyes:

Actually the model had NO animations in the mirror if you looked at it. And Randy just wanted to get to action , not to hide something that was clear as day.

Please link the video if you want and you ll see that Duke has not even the walking animation on the mirror.

I did notice that, but I didn't want to go on extreme assumptions here.
At first glance, it does seem like the model lacks animations entirely, yes.
What about the tap on/off animations? Do you think those are the final animations, or should we assume those weren't finished either?
I seriously wonder though. Why weren't those animations done at that point? If not even Duke Nukem's animations were done by that point, a few months ago, then it means the fucking game was still in alpha and might still be for all we know...
I have sneaky feeling hat gearbox scrapped shitloads of 3DR's works to either censor the game, or to optimize it in order to be a multiplatform game or simply because they didn't like what 3DR did...

Simply the model was standing still when moving , activating things , even though in first person you could see legs and hands moving. Probably GBX has been doing new animations or at least tweaking them when that build was created.
