Well from that video we can see that Duke indeed moves his hand and legs when walking and activating things. So those are probably the final animations.

Why? Hasn't everybody else seen that video at least 5 times until now?

Have the latest two JH footages been made into bite-sized video files yet? I need them for archival purposes...

He should shake his ass, pump his fist in the air and nod his head like he's a DJ.

The animations look slightly, well like animators couldn't be bothered. I mean Duke just turns on the tap as though he's flipping a switch. Not turning the handle, the graphics are great. But the movement needs work.

That's what I've been saying too.

And when duke moved in front of that mirror, his animations were terrible.

The reason for this could be that the game is mainly in first person. When you're not moving, the first person camera doesn't move up and down, or look around by itself like Duke is doing idle animations. If he were to play idle animations, looking in the mirror would be weird, since Duke's head would now not be aligned with the camera, and while the camera would point forward, Duke might be looking in a completely different direction.

What? During idle animations Duke's head should defiantly be aligned. Looking in a mirror in a FPS and triggering an animation doesn't mean the person moves in a different direction.

I think the doom3 and prey mirror animations are good examples of what we will most likely get in DNF.
If you look closely in the mirror in both doom3 and prey, your character's third person animations suck and they don't even represent the first person animations properly.
I remember how fucked up it was when I looked in the mirrors in doom3 and I was punching near them, the reflection of my character showed a huge delay between the FPS fists animation and the third person arms animation.

This week the show airs on Christmas Eve. Maybe Jace will gift us something nice?

I have no idea why I'm salivating over this shitty cam footage. It's such a huge fuck you but at the same time I can't look away.

So? Full Body Awarness is related to your first person view.
The arms and legs that you see from first person will most likely be different from the ones corresponding to the third person model of Duke Nukem.
If they give the third person model of Duke so much detail and animation, that it can be safely used with a first person cam stuck into it's head, then I will be impressed.
If you have proof that Duke Nukem Forever will just use one 3D model for both the fps view and the third person view, then I dare you to bring it forward.
Until you do, I think it would be safer for you to just trust me when I say that DNF will use separate arms and legs in first person view mode!!!
DNF will most likely make used of HUD models just like DN3D does with HRP!
That's how both Prey and Doom3 work, which is why I mentioned them above!

I agree with Deviance. Using separate models lets you have more polys for the first person models. If you show the same high poly arms in 3rd person mode the game would lag like hell. And I'm leaving animation issues aside.

Nope, Duke model is the same in both 1st and 3d person. It's noticeable in the leaked gameplay videos, you can tell by how the view feels akward when looking upwards. The gun and arma disappear under the fov, because there arent any arm+gun pasted on screen anymore. Feels realistic imho

Therefore the arm+gun is not the same as DooM3 or Half-life2, it's FBA at its finest, and thats just amazing for me

How can there be a one liner if Jon hasn't done anything by that time?

Question is... when were these taken?

Because it wasn't during the 2008 visit.

How on earth do you know? He might have saved plenty of material at that point. Maybe the original plan was to reveil step by step the game together with 3DR. Now Gearbox just takes the cake.
