[CONFIRMED] - Rumor(?): Borderlands Studio Reviving Duke Nukem Forever

#91

GBX might have agreed with 3DR/Take Two to hold off on announcing it for a certain time or until a certain event. That happens all the time, games aren't completely under NDA until they are released. Otherwise publishers/developers wouldn't be able to hype/market games at all. Randy's actual comment only makes this more likely than what Kotaku had written in their article.

so just to wrap things up.
There must be a NDA that cleary has ended when PAX takes place or before this, due to Randy indicating he can talk about Duke at PAX. YES???

NO!!! There is still NDA, but it will be lifted in some parts for PAX. If there would be no NDA after PAX then Randy could say pretty much everything. Which he won't.

Jon St. John just posted on twitter!

"really looking forward to PAX/Seattle Sept.3-5 I'll be part of the Late Show recording and some other things. Ready to meet more fans!"
Jon St. Johns twitterpost

And at last years PAX Gearbox showed off Borderlands. Do they have some kind of tradition in being pro-PAX? *crossing fingers for goood news @ PAX*

Unfortunately Gearbox does not have a display at this years PAX

Can I just say that if Gearbox announce that they are not working on the game, we can officially call it dead. Anyone want to disagree with this?

edit: wanted changed to want.

Maybe Gearbox ain't listed. But just for being optimistic, 2k Games are (publisher of Borderlands) And they are also a subsidiary division of TakeTwo... am I being way to optimistic now?

If Gearbox is not working on DNF then nobody does and there is no more hope and I'm sending 3drealms.com to the right place:
127.0.0.1 in my hosts file...

Kotaku's rumor + Gearbox employee + John St John.

It's getting interesting.

Could it be a conspiracy???

but why remove it?
Maybe Valve ordered it! Remember his last DOA post about sound recordings was deleted too. So its a conspiracy by Valve not Gearbox/3DR.

Yes I would say officially dead!
Can we then also officially take 3DR out behind the woodshed and put it out of its misery?

Well in my opinion it looks promising enough. Damn, the stores would EXPLODE while people ran to buy Duke Nukem Forever! Have to prepare for it´s release (whether it comes out or not) and hope to have enough Xbox Live time to play it online if it´s supported. Man, now have to be positive... :)
