It would be more worthwhile for someone to buy the domain blood.com and fix robots.txt. Then we may have the source code, and I would get the credit. :D

Now that Gearbox owns the Duke IP, I think that instead of there being a 0% chance of the Duke betas released, there is now a -100% chance.

The main problem with buying the rights, as Callum suggests, is that it's not for sale. Pretty much any price we can manage with our menial group of folks will not sway these people.

Blood alpha will not help, however Halloween Harry sounds interesting.

Even though they're PROBABLY the Blood alphas we've seen over and over, I'd like to see what versions he has.

I have 2 alphas and I am not sure which version of halloween harry I have, it has a different title in the zip and archive folder but when loaded it says halloween harry. I also have the hidden below, and some other early FPS style games from 89 - 92. I will dig through my collection and up this stuff on the first as I am out of bandwidth at the moment( my isp sucks with bandwidth caps and Sh**. I have only a small amount of usage left that I need for school, they only give me 150G a month, and I tend to use quite a bit).

Joe Siegler has a nice collection of betas, though.

I've managed to ask him about his prototypes too, but nothing happened.

I really wonder what would his Duke 3D beta look like....

I wonder if Joe's Duke 3D beta would look like as seen in these screenshots

Has anyone ever contacted him about this? I'm not sure he still visits the 3DR forums but this could be given a try. I guess that if he made some screenshots and/or posted a YouTube vidoe of gameplay that would not violate any copyright-related regulations.

I'd also be kinda interested in that Dark Justice beta, which must be the Max Payne beta.

hmmmm..... now what did Joe's Shadow Warrior betas also look like?

I'm very interested to take a look at both Shadow Warrior and Duke Nukem 3D betas, only if Joe Siegler would have given us a chance to take a look at them by releasing them

maybe Duke 3D & Shadow Warrior betas, that Joe Siegler has, might include stuff such as enemies, weapons, HUD etc. as they're seen in the screenshots

There's no guarantee that they aren't the betas/sharewares we don't already have.

Yo, what did you type in to find this shot? I have never seen it before. I want to look and see if the site it came from has anything else.

I'm pretty sure that's just a shot from one of those beta recreation mods.
0

#59

in order to find that shot in Google, i typed "Duke Nukem 3D" and then "exactly: 320x240" and the shot was found

I'm not so sure. The only one I know of is Cage's mod, and he didn't have that HUD or yellow font.

The page it's on doesn't provide any information.
