just wanted to test some of the latest stuff (duke32_win64_20210713-9476-3191b5f41) and then i noticed that the option for texture filtering is completely missing from the menu. i am running with opengl and i can remember that in other, earlier versions this option was present, but now it seems gone i have no idea how to bring it up.
was it removed from eduke or is this a problem with the renderer on my end, maybe gpu driver issue or something?
looks a little bit like the opengl mode isnt working at all or something...
ok i just ran and old file of eduke32 from 2014 where it says 32bpp instead of opengl, it works fine and texture filtering shows in the menu.
strange, looks like its bugged or removed in the lastest version.

It was removed because it is incompatible with the current implementation of palette emulation

thanks for that quick answer.
can you tell me whats the latest build where it was still enabled?
does that mean if i run an old version of eduke with filtering enabled it cant run some of the latest stuff?

I think at some point it was reinstated but it could only be toggled with a CVAR

I guess it would be needed to disable palette emulation first right? I tried all the values but didn't see any filtering.
