If you made the games show up as installed in your Steam client by adding a Library Folder with them present, but you didn't originally download them on that Windows installation or at that path, they won't be added to the registry. What I've done to fix this is to rename the installation folders to something else temporarily, uninstall the games from the Steam client, undo the rename, then reinstall the games at the same path to avoid redownloading anything. Then Steam should add the necessary registry entries.
Thx for the hint.. It's much easier without any deleting etc.
1) Open registry editor
2) Navigate to the following key entries
For Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition goto Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Uninstall\Steam App 225140
For Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour goto Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Uninstall\Steam App 434050
For Shadow Warrior Classic Redux goto Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Uninstall\Steam App 225160
For Shadow Warrior Classic (1997) Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Uninstall\Steam App 238070
3) Edit the entry "InstallLocation" to the matching path
The only "bug" I found was that once MEGATON edition is detected the WT edition will not show up in the selection... the same issue is with CLASSIC and REDUX
It would also be nice if the selection box would show the origin of the GRP files like "Duke Nukem 3D (STEAM - Megaton Edition)" .... just an idea
