Hi,
I've made (probably too huge) a huge map.
Mapster's says my map details as next:
- Sectors: 2175/4096
- Walls: 16373/16384
- Sprites: 2285/16384
So. You can see walls, it's almost over limit. When I exceed that wall-limit, mapster freezes.
So I can't make no sectors anymore.
First I got this problem in normal Duke3D, limit was 4096, if I remember correct. When I started to use EDuke, limit was much higher. So, any advice how to fix this?
Is it possible to fix from con-files, or is this limit hardcoded?
Regards,
pmw

EDuke's wall-limit (16384) exceeded. What can I do?

Time to start a new map!
Perhaps map caching / hub maps would help here?
I've always meant to give that a try.

What means "map caching" or "hub maps"?
I wouldn't want to start a new map.. So huge this.. :-(
Thanks anyway

It allows you to split a map into multiple maps.
Sounds scary, any tutorial link? Is this really working thing?

There is a thread about hub maps at 3DRealms:
Hub Maps Thread
And DeeperThought made a Hub Map Mod if you would like to check it out.

Nice job with the above post, was just about to make a similar one myself. The file you can download above also includes a document exactly how to use it. It's really easy, hopefully you'll have no problems getting it working if you do decide to use it - otherwise just give another shout.
