In December 2019 I was already discussing with people the possibility of this being an extinction level event, and people calling me a crazy conspiracy theorist and there was no evidence of any virus. Turns out I was just taking the early bait, and now those same people are convinced that you have to wear a mask or you will die.

People tend to focus on their local politics & culture a lot, especially when they have their own language, which creates an illusion of independence from all this shit. My country is the same way. Well i already mentioned that i am from Serbia country in southeastern Europe earlier in this thread. And i also explained that President of my country Aleksandar Vucic is doing great stuff by vaccinating many people and fighting the corona-virus, and now thanks to him my country is doing better. People don't wear mask much as they did previous months. Situation is improving. And here is also people who told me about Bill Gates involved in vaccines and that's a fact and that's not my problem and not my point. My point is they try to put "blame" on Bill Gates for "conspiracy" of actually "getting people infected on purpose" and "putting chips in peoples body via vaccine" This is what i consider dumb and typical conspiracy theory. Those same people believe Earth is Flat and that Armstrong never landed on moon. Then what i can disscuss with them?

Anyone been following how hard my country in particular has been fucking itself up its own ass lately? You basically need a QR code proving that you've been vaccinated to go to any public place now (let alone travel). That's including work places, and since it's constitutionally illegal to fire someone for refusing a vaccine, they are enforcing it by having people keep working but for no pay (which surely has to be just as illegal somewhere). Some hospitals are going on unlimited strikes, and shops and restaurants are calling for their own boycott as no economy flow for a few days should be better for them long term than, from now on, only ever being able to receive a quarter of their usual clientele. It's the first time I'm seeing a French president lose face and credibility in the eye of literally most everyone in the country regardless of all typical political orientations, and running with it, working his way around the constitution like a full-on tyrant. Not only aren't the vaccines a miraculous solution right now, but very oddly (but not surprisingly) enough, the police is exempted from all those regulations, meaning it might actually become the number one spreading agent of this shit in the long run. In the meantime, dude is off to Polynesia to give distant, patronizing speeches on selfishness when he himself refuses the vaccine, although he just ordered two billion doses. Millions of people are protesting against the situation, although reports only indicate 160.000 nation-wide (which is ridiculous) and the demonstrations are repressed as firmly as the ones against the recent laws prohibiting filming the police were just a few months ago.
