I have already coded the enemies and some stuff.

As it turns out, Nightmare Zone is quite an amazing level, with lots of enemies and fun secrets. The gameplay issue was due to the PSX controls and framerate.

I always loved Nightmare Zone. I never really had issues with it. Possibly because I saw videos of it before playing. The only nasty thing is those pesky tripbombs in places where they don't belong.

I thought already of that for Hacx 2.0 :( I haven't tested how well the phones will read it once you place in game in not that bright light conditions - I've planned it more as a secret, links to bonus content.

Besides advertising, you can make the code just give you a message (can be something story related), or point to an image or file. The possibilities are pretty cool, and I'm surprised nobody used it that much in games, even modern ones.

I noticed QR codes in the new Shadow Warrior on some of the crates sitting around. They just linked you to www.qrcode.com. Lame.

There is a QR code in Deus Ex: human revolution on a crate. I also did a purely ingame version in the AMC TC where if you scan that poster with the gun on it in the AMC base with the PDU scanner it'll add it to the shopkeeper's stock.

Well at least is something I haven't seen on a build game.

Fez has a couple too which give hints to unlock secrets.

It's a great idea for a Duke map :(.

And doesn't require new artwork! Although copying a QR code image into sprites is surely somewhat tedious :D

It took me like 40 minutes or so, haha.

You created a working QR code by hand!? Well done Posted Image Even though it took 40 minutes, I guess you did it so that you can use it in all your future maps so it's probably worth it.

It might be quicker to create a sized grid of square sprites using copy & paste, and then just remove the unneeded squares. Unless that's how you did it.

Congratulations on your patience :(

Yeah I think it worth it, I can use it on any future map. We can also made one pointing to this furoms, or promoting EDuke32 and all its features!

That was sorta what I did. But on a grid with black and whitte squares, just like a chess board, so I don't get confused with the spaces.

Just made a tricky garage door. You can use it in your maps if you want.

Been meaning to do one myself, but I always have an issue with the bridge sectors; if you use them too many times, the activator sprite gets outside the sector and it stops working.

I didn't use bridge, because it would screw up the floor.

You've beat me to the idea :( However mine wasn't as cool, since there was no diagonal part.
