Fox's skyboxes are causing stuttering in EDuke32.
Indeed ! These stutterings were causing me a headache. I tried everything and yes, it seems to be related to the use of skyboxes... Any solution for this matter ?

I use them all the time and never had a problem with stuttering. Does it keep stuttering long after they have loaded?

Not as heavy as in the beginning, but it can cause occasional sudden stutters which can be very annoying in combat. Also, level E2M11 (Lunatic Fringe) is pratically unplayable with it.

I'm using an old build (r4525) for a mod I'm working on, and that bug doesn't seems to be present:
Sorry for the textures, they are different because of the mod, but the metallic one behind the transparent maskwall and the transparent sprite is a modified version of the tile 341. Here is used as a floor texture, and as you can see it works perfect. I don't know about newer builds because I'm not even able to use them with a correct aspect ratio, so I stick to my beloved r4525.

R4525 is around the same vintage I use for mapster editing for so many reasons, including color palette, performance and functionality. However, when running the actual Eduke I will always run the latest release. I prefer classic for testing backwards compatibility but Polymer / HRP for texture aligning, shading and gameplay. Polymost? What's that? Lol
