I have recently rediscovered this series I have first seen more than 15 years ago... and by now, even if at first sight the show was aiming a young public, I find out how premonitory this serie was (especially if you consider the event which happened since the early 2000s) !

And of course I never get tired of seeing Marzena Godecki (Neri) !

You can find most of the episodes on putlockers.fm

Besides it seems that for the last 4-5 years, Jonathan M. Shiff Productions have the project to make a sequel :

I just watched an episode on Youtube to see what it was about. You perverts watching those little flashes of flesh on Ocean Girl. :) I'll bet you freeze framed a lot when watching the Blue Lagoon movies too. :dukecigar:

I don't recall seeing that show in the U.S.

It was broadcast by The Disney Channel in the United States

ZDF and KI.KA in Germany

In France it was France 2 in the 90s, and Canal J in the early 2000s !
The name of the series have become "Océane" in France (name that was also commonly given to Neri, the translators had the habit to somewhat break the castings back then in the 90s)

No way, there is no relation with "Flipper" !

In US and Germany it was titled same as the australian ("Ocean Girl"), only UK have titled it "Ocean Odyssey"

Marzena Godecki is certainly the most promising actress with the shortest career in record ! ^^

an interesting claim in order to bump a thread, but studies have shown that many performing dolphins have careers that last less than four seasons.

It looks vaguely familiar, I probably saw it years ago (not surprising since it was made in my country), although I don't remember anything about it on account of being so young at the time.

Actually, the shooting of Ocean Girl lasted 3 years for the 4 season, this is how long Marzena Godecki was actress (although she previously made appearances in 6 episodes of "Round the Twist" as "pretty girl"), when the series was finished she stopped acting...

If you were living in Australia from 1994 to 1997, then it was broadcasted on "Network Ten" !

For a week by now, the world-wide distributor (except for french speaking countries) for the series, "BEYOND Distribution", have created a channel on Youtube allowing to watch the series for free (althought only the first season seems available for now) :

If you watch Jonathan M. Shiff last series, The Bureau of Magical Things, you will notice many references to Ocean Girl (they are barely hidden)

Since early march, the channel "So Fetch" (ex "Ocean Girl" I have linked before : https://www.youtube....xhIIIsrBH6BOV0g) have blocked in france the episodes both in english and german but didn't provide any explaination... do someone have a theory on why you usually block videos in specific countries on youtube ?

Lets be serious a moment, do you think that it mean there will (finally) be a DVD/Blue-Ray release of the series in the french world like it was the case in germany ?

On this website maybe... but actually there are plenty of francophone and francophile persons who want it, and yes a lot of them have been asking on the aforementioned channel that they provide the episodes with the french dubbings (at last news they have been discussing the matter with the producers) !
The success of the series was equivalent in english, german and french worlds, asside from demography considerations !
