Ocean Girl "the famous australian fantasy/sci-fi series of the 90s"

I have recently rediscovered this series I have first seen more than 15 years ago... and by now, even if at first sight the show was aiming a young public, I find out how premonitory this serie was (especially if you consider the event which happened since the early 2000s) !
And of course I never get tired of seeing Marzena Godecki (Neri) !

Oh yes, I remember.
Must be 20 years since it was running on German television.
I have to look if can find it on a DDL site.

Besides it seems that for the last 4-5 years, Jonathan M. Shiff Productions have the project to make a sequel :

In France it was France 2 in the 90s, and Canal J in the early 2000s !
The name of the series have become "Océane" in France (name that was also commonly given to Neri, the translators had the habit to somewhat break the castings back then in the 90s)

No way, there is no relation with "Flipper" !
In US and Germany it was titled same as the australian ("Ocean Girl"), only UK have titled it "Ocean Odyssey"

Actually, the shooting of Ocean Girl lasted 3 years for the 4 season, this is how long Marzena Godecki was actress (although she previously made appearances in 6 episodes of "Round the Twist" as "pretty girl"), when the series was finished she stopped acting...

If you were living in Australia from 1994 to 1997, then it was broadcasted on "Network Ten" !

The success of the series was equivalent in english, german and french worlds, asside from demography considerations !
