It hung. It seems that I spoke too early. In 1 of other 3 times that I played, it hung.

I really wish I knew why this happens to everyone but me and the other EDuke32 developers. I played through WGR2 like 3 times and I didn't have any problems... wtf?

Actually, my friend who I'm about to mention here also hasn't been experiencing any crashes/freezes in WGR2 so far either.

On that topic though. My friend, TheSeriousCacodemon, is about to stream live and play WGR2 [on Skill 3 or Skill 4, I forget which], and I figure I'd invite you to see it if anyone cares. It'll be at 7:00PM EST. You can go there through the following links.

EDIT 2: Stream over. BTW, I know DT, WG, TerminX and Plagman were there, but I figure I'd inform the rest of you that my friend DID end up having a single freeze crash near the end of the stream. Still, it doesn't seem to be too common on his end.

Anyways, I had a lot of fun playing this and even streaming this. Too bad I had a single freeze crash towards the end, but it didn't hinder me much.

Now, I wait for Episode 2.

Heh, I just noticed that "WGR" also stands for World of Greyhawk Reference in AD&D. For example, here's the WGR2 from that series: http://index.rpg.net...tml?mainid=2780

The second playable character in our WGR2 is mostly finished. The main thing he needs now is a voice to replace Duke's. I'm trying to put together a movie showing the new character. I'm not sure how long it will take because I keep finding bugs and then I have to start over (making a move is a great way to find bugs, by the way. Any bugs are guaranteed to pop up and ruin the movie).

Don't make so many movies then and save them so that you make a decent full size news post on your moddb.com page. Then you will most likely get front page news on moddb and then watch you DL skyrocket. :lol:

The only reason why WGR2 didn't get front page news when you put it on moddb is because it only had a couple of sentences and a picture or something I was told.
Though I believe if you can get your mod on to the front page it will generate a nice share of new players. IMO

WGR2 has been on the front page of MODDB 10 times already, wtf are you going on about? Every news item I have made has been on the front page. (I didnt have a news item when I put wgr2 on MODDB)

When I say front page news, I don't mean the thing under "Latest Articles"
All mods that upload news items will show up there, I'm talking about the one at the top that changes between about five different news items.

For me, movies serve several different purposes. Some, like the trailer, are promotional. Other movies serve as gameplay guides and walkthroughs. Movies also show development milestones. Those are interesting to look back on and are the only record we have of the way the game has progressed. I haven't been posting movies on Mod DB at all. I think at least the trailer should be uploaded there to the videos section -- right now there you just links to youtube movies in the news section.

I consider the threads here and at other Duke sites to be appropriate places to post developer's blog type material. That's why I sometimes post links to movies that aren't even on youtube. I suppose someone could get overexposed to the TC if they looked at everything posted in the threads (though I doubt it), but there's no danger of that happening to the general public.

I did it myself. I took the Hexen hands and combined them with your bow frames in Photoshop. It took me about an hour for every frame of animation, because I had to erase your hands and then edit the new ones to fit properly, and be the correct angles, etc.

Cage has not been around for a long time now. We do not have anyone helping with art.

Please make the souls not to attack bosses if you can. For example when a big soul attacks cyberdemon it doesn't shot at all and is too easy to kill.

My my is going well. Even better than expected. But now I leave for 4 days. Merry Christmass!

It looks like he's shooting you in the face with his shotgun. Which is exactly what would happen if you tried that on someone who had a shotgun, come to think of it.
