HRP Runs Poorly  "Texture glitches, stuttering gameplay"

Hi, a couple of problems im having.

Firstly if i run duke in fullscreen mode, the mouse does not work, until i tab out then tab back in.

Secondly if hrp is enabled i get poor stuttering gameplay. its playable, but it would be hard when playing multiplayer.

Any ideas?

btw, i'm running atomic edition with eduke32.

You probably should post if you're using the latest snapshot, what Operating System you are using, and your Computer Specs.
