Damn, that's a shame. There aren't many 90's grunge frontmen left now.

Yeah, out of Seattle's big four grunge bands, Eddie Vedder's the last frontman. It feels like that period was one of the last times an authentic music sub-culture crossed over into the mainstream. :(

Here's a low-quality video with Layne Staley, Eddie Vedder, and Chris Cornell just before they blew up.

According to the BBC, he hung himself.

The only positive thing I can say about 90's grunge music is it brought a heavy guitar sound to mainstream music. But there are many things I don't like about the songs or bands.

Nirvana is pretty much the only grunge band I can stand. Can't say I'm a fan of the genre.

We want all remembering it like this, not as the S.p.e.c.t.r.e alike producer guy in Spice World. (that also features a Poirot Hugh Laurie)

Too much "H".

However this is what I was talking about:

Oh, and even the Hugh Laurie thing it's true.

This entire movie was a total commercial operation mess...

The ex-wife of one of my brothers. She was a bitchy alcoholic slut with a drug problem. Somehow she managed to get custody of their kid. She soaked my brother for a ton of alimony and child support while getting free child care from her mother. Always threatened him with going back to court for even more money. ( drug habit isn't cheap ) She had a revolving door at her house for all the guys she shacked up with. A terrible human being who unfortunately has left a mark on the kid. Died of organ failure. Complications of I don't know what and don't care.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Definitely a tragic loss.

Michael Nyqvist, ?Girl With the Dragon Tattoo? Star, Dies at 56

I've only seen in him in two roles, one being the first Dragon Tattoo film and John Wick. Very different characters but both were played very well. It's sad to see him go at such a young age.

Today the comedian and actor Paolo Villaggio is passed out at 84. Mostly famous for critic-at-society roles like the despotic magician Professor Kranz, the clerk Giandomenico Fracchia and above all the claims office clerk Ugo Fantozzi. Two of his funniest roles outside his cult classic stock characters was the germanic soldier Thorz in "Brancaleone at the Crusades" (the sequel to "L'armata Brancaleone" that you may know as "For Love and Gold" or "The Incredible Army of Brancaleone") and the belligerent paranoid Commander in "The cake in the sky".

Death of a legend. George A. Romero has passed away at the age of 77. I would go beyond "He created a genre," though certainly he did. I'd go bigger!

I think George Romero created an entire American mythology. I think you probably can name three directors who created a bigger cultural impact than George Romero, but it's probably going to take you a bit to come up with them.

Surprised nobody mentioned Martin Landau.
June 20th 1928 - July 15th 2017
Probably most recognizable from Space: 1999 among other things.

Surprised I've never seen a Duke map with a Space 1999 theme, the tile set is just asking for it...
