3D Realms Logo "What do you think about it?"

I think all the new ones are pretty nice, but top left of the new bunch or bottom right of the first bunch are my favourite.

The new three here have the word "REALMS" all in the same size. I preferred the "R" and "S" being slightly taller in#4 from the first example set. I don't know if I like the the arrangement of "3D" in these examples. I preferred it looking like one block instead of two distinct blocks of letters. But if I had to pick, I like the "3D" from the top left one here, #1.

The bottom right from the first 4 is my favourite logo overall. I agree with what MusicallyInspired said about preferring the 3D as one block instead of two, as it just looks better imo.

I thought it was a conscious designer choice for the first four variants that 3 and D should be on the side surfaces of the same cube. Maybe the "RealmS" part could also be aligned in some cubic 3D perspective to rhyme with the "3D" part too?

~~Ahhh as someone said in this thread~~ (Haha it was you) not everything needs to be Sans Serif to look "modern". Your logo cleverly captures the 90's feel plus the flat design style everybody is doing nowadays. Simple yet effective, I like it. How does it look with more saturated colors?

Plus using this logo you don't have to deal with gradients.

I like the bottom right one Fred, but I think you guys are making a mistake by ditching the recognizable orangey-yellow/blue colour scheme 3DR has always had.

I had a go at modernising the original logo, it's not perfect but its pretty much what I had in mind.

Thete was something bothering me about that version. Someone mentioned it reminded them of a Sports logo. That's what it is. Good quality, though!

Im not saying my version is ideal, it's just my interpretation, I'm not 100% happy with it, especially not happy with the '3D' and Im not sure how to improve that part.

I just don't think that saying its just a digital revolver rip-off holds any weight, especially when I know it wasn't on my mind when I made it.

If you said it was a Lucasarts or twitch rip off I would agree as they were what I was looking at against the original logo when I made it.

Next to each other they are nothing a like.

Messed around with logo design some more...
I don't mind the new designs that have been posted, but I feel the font should be more square to match not only the 3D part, but to also reflect on the classic font with a modern twist.

I like that. The new 3D block instead of the 3 on top of the D is a nice change, while keeping the vibe of the original with the classic looking lettering
