Huh? I don't see where that was mentioned at all. I don't care to go and re-read posts so I'll take your word for it. "Looks too much like the Devolver Digital logo" was my initial reaction based on nothing but the image itself.

Why so defensive, anyway? Unless somebody has removed posts from this thread, I don't really see how this reply of yours:

We're not saying it's a ripoff. Whether you intended it or not, it looks too similar to the DD logo.

I wasn't bothered tbh its just a dumb idea I drew out in a couple of hours, I guess its in my nature to always get the wrong end of the stick

Not really, I have been around this forum enough to not expect that type of critique

My big issue was that I mistook the statement as a plagiary claim, and as I'm a full time designer a plagiarism comment can be pretty scary D:

It looks like what most companies do to their logos and make them simpler/modern, not that I have a problem with that.

I think the logo is really good, contrary to the previous ones which gave a different vibe, it gives the feeling that 3DRealms is still 3DRealms while being modernized.

I like it more than the previous ones!

I'm not sure if I prefer it to mine, this is probably a bias thing but I usually hate my own work after an hour of completion.

I think its the choice of fonts, which in my opinion arent as interesting as the original logo, which in my version I opted for a more balanced equivelent.

Like mine I think the '3D' looks a bit off, this is something I struggled to balance :/

Yeah, this one isn't bad at all. Like others have said, kind of modern, kind of old school. Could use some blue though.

I love that it incorporates both old and new designs with the classic 3D Realms shape and form mixed with the sleak modern day design of simplicity.

I liked Steveeeie's logo. It was the only one to really give a sense of the original logo, with a modern spin on the old theme. I didn't really see the Devolver logo connection. It's similar in general shape, but you can say that about a lot of logos and design (and games!).

The new logo isn't bad, and a lot more stylish than the previous entries.

Good luck on the new web site and I hope we see some new material from 3D Realms soon.

I really like it, but I'm sad, that you didn't go with the capital R and S around de 'ealm'.. It lacks a bit of the "gravity" of the old logo, but we will get used to it - time for the website?
