OK, so you guys are trying to access the 3 "animation" parts of the portfolio on http://www.barakastudios.com/isaac.htm right?

Well, the first one is busted. The other 2 work for me... But they're not from Duke Nukem Forever, even though they're labeled as such. I was wondering why they looked so familiar - they're from Fallout 1. Haha.

Unless you're talking about something else?

Octaking? wow. That would have been sexy. Micki!, you getting this?

Haha. The people here and on the 3D Realms forums rummaging through these screenshots are like vultures starting to pick at a corpse. It's only just beginning too. I've gotta head to bed, so everyone here: if any new DNF content appears on the net over the next few days make sure you SAVE EARLY AND SAVE OFTEN, as the old adage goes. And then proceed to make it available for the rest of us.

Damn guys... Looking at those awesome screens gives me an impression of looking a corpse...

I'm about to cry...

Regarding to the anims-video, I receive this message

I'm looking at the screenies while listening to this music.

Unfortunately my imagination is running wild at how cool the game would have been. So much detail. All these vehicles and units and models. Cool guns. Hoover Dam is a pretty standard facility environment. Not my fav but the other stuff make up for it and would have been necessary anyway. I'm a bit surprised at people calling it generic around the net. Were they expecting an exotic hoover dam. lol

I think people were just expecting something that would blow their heads off after 12 years of development. Another reason why it might be for the best that it never got released... Imagine the nitpicking!

Try watching E3 2001 trailer. That's depressing...

Same here, those places were a generic environment, so of course it would look generic, that's be like if i made a game and it had my house in it, and people whining because my living room looked "generic" (they couldn't say that about the kitchen, it's got a server in there)
I think they look awesome, as far as generic environments go, they are probably from one map in the game, so i will bet that it would change drastically as you moved through the game.

It's ironic that we're learning more about the game now than we did while it was still being actively developed.

Well if nothing else, at least the devs and the people who had a hand in the game can see what the fan and even general gamer reaction is to the content.
I'm getting totally creeped out by that podchick and pregnatorpod lol. In duke3d they were just strapped to weird green things. Now it's like they become a part of it.

The props, guns, vehicles, etc are all kick ass. It's really too bad they didn't show a few screens from the more exotic later levels.. if they exist. Since I think it would have been a few incredible unique shots that would have impressed the general crowd. Kind of like how I'm impressed by the podchick and the octaking. Which if they were in the game.. probably wouldn't have even been featured in the first level.

Batllelord gun looks perfect. As does the sniper rifle. Man those are nice.

I love the design of the podchick. If it looked half as good in-game as the concept art, I would have been very pleased.

On the Casino shot, you can see a very lonely Duke standing there. So sad.

The whole internet is melting with DNF and 3DRealms, and George though that people wouldn't have cared... What a Fool...

Well yeah, the podchick might creep me out but it would definitely be awesome ingame.
I noticed Duke in the pic as well RedSplat. His arms are in a weird position but whatev.

Edit. Well I wouldn't call George a fool without knowing all the facts quite yet Psyrgery. If nothing else, the sheer amount of attention this thing is getting should show anyone that's even remotely interested in picking up DNF or the IP or funding, that Duke is easily one of the most famous gaming figures ever.
It wouldn't be like buying the IP to Ultrabots or something. lol
