I am having trouble getting this sound pack to work can someone help me out with this?

Same. I tried to put it both in my GOG/Duke Nukem 3D directory and in an "autoload" folder", to no avail.

This was linked on Discord, but to anyone stumbling upon this thread, no the sound in the linked zip file won't work out of the box, you'd need a DEF file with sound definitions to use them, or rename each sound as Hendricks mentioned in this thread.
Or just use the sound pack from here: https://hrp.duke4.net/download.php

That should be of no issue with any good file manager. I use FreeCommander, the mass rename function allows to append the _voc part to every file name in a matter of a couple of clicks.

I think I may have found the ROAM29.VOC sound source. The timing seems right, but I can't quite find an exact match here though. Maybe I'm missing something, or aren't getting the right pitch:
