Ok so I have EDuke32 1.5.0devel 20090313 and I have Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition under game in the setup tab. After i click Start the program gets hung on: Resizing code buffer to 16187*4 bytes. After it stays on this screen for a little while I click on it and it just says (Not Responding). I have a relatively fast computer and the funny thing is if I leave it alone eventually the game will pop up. Anyone have some suggestions? Also I have tried to go into the .cfg files and delete anything with ModDir in it but that only helped one time. This is my first post ever and I hope someone responds.

That is definitely the log file but it looks incomplete. I would expect a segment fault or something...
And yes, your system should be able to run this without any problems at all..which is the confusing part. are all your drivers up to date? Is there anything else in the log? You should try posting over on the official boards where more people check more often (namely the developers of eduke32). TerminX would know what is wrong...

This topic is old as hell, but if the OP is still around:
Have you tried not loading it with the HRP?

Can you tell me how to load it without the HRP? What exactly is the HRP and what does it do?

I noticed the quake command doesn't do anything when the player is using the Jet pack.
Can this be avoided or fixed?

Remove the "autoload" folder is the quickest option, or turn off Highres textures and models in the options.
And by you asking the question of what is the HRP leads me to think you illegally downloaded Duke Nukem.

This is because touchplates aren't triggered unless the player actually touches the floor of the sector with the tag.

I know, but shouldnt the quake command ( quake VALUE ) work anyway?

No I actually purchased it off of GOG.com. It was $5.99 and it is completely legit.

Yeah I removed the autoload folder and it boots instantly but the game doesn't have high-res enabled which is obviously a huge benefit. I wonder what the deal is?
