Just got Metroid Prime Hunters. Good game online too, but only when you actually face people around your skill level. (Which sucks as I am only have a rank of one star and i always get placed in matches with 4-5 star players
) But its cool in that different characters have different abilities and Affinity Weapons (Samus gets more missiles with affinity and has the Morph Ball/bombs, Trace gets the Imperialist[sniper rifle] as his affinity and a cool spider mode that lets you lunge at people and run away really fast, ect).

Soldier of Fortune... finished it a few days ago.
Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix... I'm about halfway through, and loving every bit.
I'm very curious to see the media of SoF3 from E3, I hope it turns out to be worth it. If Activision screwed up the third SoF game I will forever hold it against them.

I'm systematically playing the Jedi Knight series. I've currently finished Dark Forces, Dark Forces 2 and Mysteries of the Sith; I'm working on finishing Jedi Outcast on all difficulties.
Yes, I am a Star Wars fan. I have KotOR, Empire At War, Battle for Naboo; The Phantom Menace, Yoda's Desktop Adventures, Galactic Battlegrounds Gold, Republic Commando, Battlefront 1 & 2. and the original Star Wars games on NES and SNES.

Finished Lost Planet... I was letdown by how simply/easy the final boss was at medium difficulty.
But otherwise, an awesome game.
Also finished FEAR for like the fifth or sixth time.

I think it's sad you only have that über VS in that last level... would be cool unlocking it for other levels... experimenting with it, haha... that laser blade was awesome...
Also, i should go play FEAR again... last time,i played FEAR on one of my friends PS3...
The controls with the controller is horrible, i need the PC controls
(i'm aware of USB ports supporting keyboard and mouse, but i already have the game and the whole control setup on PC... no need to bother haha)

Well it's running at that res, maxed details... and runs silky smooth. The Unreal Engine 3 is wonderfully optimized and looks amazing in motion.
I would honestly say if you liked... enjoyed.... loved System Shock 2... play this game. There are so many things in it that are just so damn similar.

Yes, I really liked that.
How is difficulty? And learning curve?
I remember System Shock 2 was pleasantly challenging, but I heard a year ago or so from the developers in an interview they were going to make the difficulty more "for the big audience"
And are all those different things you can do known to people who haven't really watched videos or followed much of the articles? I saw in a video there are a lot fo combinations you can try out, and things to do in a situation. Someone who saw the videos known a bit what's possible in the game, but what about those who haven't watched much? Do they hint at what can be done? Or how does that work? Or aren't the game's possiblities that big as they look in videos?

Well, the PC version is more difficult than the 360 version. Enemies are stronger and do more damage.
And the Big Daddy fights are very challenging at times. At times the game can seem easy.... but it's a good solid difficulty, never to hard... but not really to easy.
And yes, there are tons of possibilities you can try.... some not even shown in videos. I attached a prox mine to a teddy bar, picked it up with telekinesis and threw it at a Big Daddy as he was standing in a puddle of oil.
If your creative, there are tons of different things you can try.

You should know you never really die in the gam though... whenever you do, you respawn in one of those "vita chambers" and the game will be as it was the second before you died, except, enemies have forgotten your piosition... Enemies will still have lost that amount of health as the moment you died, meaning, you fight a abig daddy, he's almost dead, and then you die before giving him the final blow, then when you die, you can return and give him a minor deal of damage to get him down...
Knowing you, i think you'll dislike that feature, and there's not much auto saving, so if you prefer doing the quicksave rather than respawning, you should save very often...
It's an excellent game though, i recomend it... You won't like the final boss fight, i'm sure, and i say that without spoiling anything, but much else is about as good as a game of this kind can be...

Well, Cerb liked System Shock 2... and it had the same feature in it. Death was never an issue in SS2 either, when you died you were revived at those stations.
#588 Posted 16 September 2007 - 10:58 AM
Damn, double post... oh well.
Stranglehold demo... not bad, not great... but okay.
Medal of Honor: Airborne. Finished it, gonna play it again.

Yes, those stations were also in SS2
But I don't remember if I used them. I remember I used quicksave a lot, I think.
Can you respawn infinitely? Or does it subtract money like in SS2?

I don't reckon any money loss for being re-spawned..
I never took notice of it...

You don't loose any money or Adam from using the Vita-Chambers.
But when revived your left with almost no health and eve, forcing you to use a healthkit or eve hypo right away.
And honestly, I only was ever forced to use a Vita-Chamber while fighting a few Big Daddies.

Bioshock is great, while I prefer the PC version over the Xbox 360, the game itself is "Game of the Year" material, that's not just my opinion, CliffyB, better known as the guy who headed design on Gears of War and some of the Unreal games, also said that he thinks the same. Bioshock is an outstanding FPS, with a great mix of RPG elements, graphics, and gameplay.
There is a lot of resemblence to System Shock 2 as said before, but with a new atmosphere. The city of rapture has a very disturbing sense to it, which makes the game so immersive.
Also it's been getting like 100% and 10/10 scores from gaming magazines and shows.

It's all about how you play. If you use the environment wisely with your plasmids and weapons. You can take on pretty much anything.
But if you just try to run through it like a run and gunner... your gonna die... a lot.
But, as to what I've played recently....
Team Fortess 2 beta
Crysis beta
BioShock
Medal of Honor: Airborne

The only thing I don't like is that the doors sometimes aren't responsive enough.
Ah yes, it has been like that since the old games... The thing is, the world (level) beyond them are loading...
Dunno if you knew beforehand
Anyways, i can't wait to grab this game, and play it ... When it finally arrives here in Europe that is...
And i read there's a screenshots feature available for it, which is awesome, concidering there's an internet broweser for the Wii, i guess i would be able to upload them pics and show them on forums and such
Last game..?
That was the Beta of Team Fortress 2, i didn't really play, i tried getting acquainted with the character classes, getting used to the controls and such...
Last game iactually PLAYED was Quake 3 Team Arena
I dunno, it's cool, ilike the three new weapons, but i sort of prefer the more Deathmatching fell of regular Quake 3 for some reason...
Probably because i dislike Capture the Flag in this particular game...

Hexen II using the Hammer of Thyrion port. Finished the add-on Portal of Preavus first (played as the Demoness of course).
