Command & Conquer 3

Amazing demo!!! I stay the whole week at school and my PC is at home so I don't have any screenshots, but I have a video though:
http://users.skynet.be/cerberuse/Command%2...Conquer%203.wmv
I recorded it to show Laffer how ENORMEOUSLY cool the Ion Cannon is! Do you see that??? THE WHOLE BASE!!! :) And graphically it looks awesome too.

The game is very fun too, and I only played the training and the introduction level B) I have yet to play the first REAL level, I'll do that this evening (because during the afternoon the sun shines right on my window so I can barely see the dark game on the ultra reflective screen of my laptop B)).

Just played through the first mission of Stalker! B) I really love this game, and I think that the atmosphere is great. I love the weather effects, especially. B)

There was a problem, though. My system met all of the requirements except for the size of my paging file. Stalker needs a minimum of 2GB, and mine was set to 672mb. After I changed it to 2Gb, the game started, and I forgot to adjust the settings before playing, so it defaulted to 1024*768 resolution, and had the graphics quality set to "high".
I could walk around all right at first, but when I went outside, the framerate slowed down to 1-2 fps. I changed the resolution to 800*600, and moved down the graphics quality, too. Then the game ran much smoother. B) Everything was going okay for a while, but after about an hour of playing, the game crashed, and I had to turn off the power to my pc. B) I hope the game doesn't keep crashing like that. B) Anyway, I'm very impressed with the game overall, and I just hope the crash was an event that won't happen again, because I really enjoy playing the game and seeing and exploring its open ended environments. :)

The only thing I ve been doing this past week is building levels in Far Cry and playing Rainbow 6 Veges. Other then this it is preety boring where I am at. I have to special order games in at the nearset town. I am out in the middle of Australia and it sucks to be a gamer out here. But once I get DNF I am going even furter off the grid. :)

More STALKER... doing some side missions for fun. Plus, doing side missions is a good chance to scrounge up ammo.

Also, played some Wii Sports with Bon. We did tennis... I got to close at one point, she swung to hit a ball... and hit me in the back with the Wii-mote. Left a red impression of the remote. :)

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

So, does the game look much uglier in static lighting (DX8) mode? I also showed the weather so Micki! can judge if I miss on the weather effect or not.
I probably do... but as soon as I want to switch to DX9 lighting mode I get like one frame every 3 seconds, which is not really the intention if I want to PLAY the game :)
PS: for lightning effect, look at the STALKER thread, I posted a comparision shot when there is no lightning, and when there is.

Hmm... looks so plain in colors, and dull...

I think those are the right words, when compared to high-end weather effects...

But as long you enjoy the actual game, there's no need to worry :)

On higher graphics, the skies look more, skyish... more darker, and lighter where it seems right... lighting makes cool flashes, with realtime lighting (literally haha) on the ground... looks cool with grass shadows, and dynamic lightning... tree shadows and stuff show up on the opposite direction of the lighting etc...

Really cool... especially at night... sometimes you don't see a hand before you (or maybe gamma is too low B)) and it's creepy if you see some animals running around with a glow in thier eyes... if thy're charging at you, or running wild...

Anyways... last game was Guild Wars trial...

Two friends got me into it... i'm trying to see if i can enjoy it... i guess it's always good to like another new genre... B)

Medal of Honor: Vangaurd (Wii)

Sadly nobody has really found the perfect way of doing a FPS on the Wii, but it's still not a bad game. Just lakes some polish and more responsive controls. Not as good as CoD3 but better than Red Steel.

STALKER, Oblivion: Shivering Isles, and MoH:V (Wii)

Command & Conquer: Red Alert: The Aftermath

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Fun expansion pack, great variety in missions including a few special ones where they move a bit away from the standard "you get an MCV on a big flat piece of land, build a base and destroy all enemy units and structures" missions.
I saw a chronal vortex for the first time ever in Red Alert, even though I use the chronosphere a lot. I captured a video of it :)

Oblivion: Shivering Isles....

Just wanted to see the Isles, looks damn nice. Once I get through STALKER at least once I'll jump into Isles a bit more.

Don't mind the double posting at this point...

it's really only a problem if people do it after one of thier recent posts, which could as well be edited...

And if it has some new information in it (therefor, requiring to be posted as a seperated post, so others see it as a "new" post), i guess it's alright too...

Last game for me was STALKER
did i say before that i beat the game..?

Playing with patch now... i could actually feel a difference...
But still... Didn't expect hiding in a bush made such a noise :) but stealth works alot better now at least... we'll see if backstabbing on un-aware enemies will work now... if not i'm still disappointed

Found some interesting mods at filefront btw...
didn't try any, but reading thier descriptions was fun... one of them basicly gave you the ability to upgrade pretty much any weapon with any upgrade available...

That is, silencer and scope, and grenade launchers on some weapons where it shouldn't be possible... i especially liked the idea of putting silencers on them...

Might try it out later, first i need to beat the game... a few times... B)

Are you shooting for a different ending now? B)
By the way, does the patch still have the quicksave noise bug? I didn't notice it when I played... also, tel me if the backstabbing works... I'm curious.

As for what I most recently played: Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 against my brother. I won all three times :) First time I won by loading engineers in a flak track and capturing all important buildings of his base (he only defended one side of the base (the side aiming in my direction) so I just went around it B) The second time I won because I explored the whole map so I had all 5 oil derricks (and my brother didn't). He spent all his money on structures that unlock high tech abilities (like the battle lab) while I spent my money on many tanks and then I attacked with those tanks B)
Third time I won because I destroyed his economy with terror drones B)

Haven't played Stalker much with the patch yet... :)
I did notice the noise bug still... sort of... it was there, but the noise indicator thing didn't move... maybe they only removed teh sounds of it..?

Backstabbing i have yet to try out...

Last game was Dark Messiah Multiplayer...

Played the new game-mode "colloseum"... it's actually pretty fun... people rooting for you, betting XP with each others over who wins, and gain levels before they even start fighting...

I totally slaughtered someone on level 3 while i was only level 1 B)
Got some nice skill points there...

Still wish they made multiplayer like singleplayer, with objects and weapon pickups and kicks etc... all that made singleplayer cool actually...

Super Paper Mario

Games like this and Zelda: Twilight Princess make me glad I bought a Wii. :)

I recently got my Wii online and bought Super Mario World (SNES) through the Virtual Console.

I've been playing that for the past few days. Either I've gotten much worse since I was little... or the game is a lot harder than I remember :)

Like it matters. I didn't even notice it wasn't out over here. :) So doesn't bug me one bit, besides I have other games to play... not like I'll be anxiously waiting for it with nothing better to do.

Played some Warhammer 40k: Dark Crusade. Damn it's addictive, I just extinct every last orc on the planet. :)

Also Penumbra: Overture

The AI pretty much surprised me, I attacked a hound with my pickaxe, before I could deal the final blow it ran away and started howling, which attracted the other hound. It attacked me from behind and ran away, while I was turning around the first one came back and attacked me, I could kill it, but the other one got me.

Postal 2... things just got out of hand. I was just on my way to buy some milk.

Got on the roof and pored some gas on the street in the shape of a word... lit it and watched the burning profanity.
Posted Image

And a cat runs through the fire, as it runs away a burning little fluff ball... everyone it touches catches fire. Soon... dozens of people are burning to their death in the street.

I then run down to the street to view the accidental carnage.
But upon reaching the street the police blame me for the death of all the innocents and attack. I fight back... to save my own life.

Posted Image

After about thirty minutes of battling for my own being... the violence slowly dwindled away... leaving me with nothing but empty guns and a lot of dead people to play with.
