I'm currently playing through the entire classic DOOM saga. Yesterday I finished DOOM 1, now I'm in Circle of Destruction in DOOM 2.

I find it hard to believe how non-linear levels are in those games. Amazing. :)

I agree: It's a combination of everything: adventure puzzles, action, boss fights, atmosphere, story, ... when will you continue the game? You're already so far :)

i got further than this, but i don't dare to mention where i stopped (all of a sudden) because i don't wanna spoil it...

However, if youm post screenshots of places i recognize, or places i don't know (meaning you must have gone past my part) i can tell you... :)

i should probably continue, but i got so many other good games on the same time, that i never really got back to it...

But it's not like those games are better than Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth right? :)

Well, prey was great, BF2142 still leaves me hanging on it, Dark Messiah is like a drug, Garrys Mod 10 is really fun with friends...

So yeah, i was sortof occupied with all these... i simply had to get them all, and so i had to play them all at the same time as well...

I sortof forgot my older games there, but just today, i thought of CoC again so i might play through it THIS time... i know i SHOULD... :)

Aye, i forgot my own personal smiley there B)

I like the Marines story, as well the Aliens... i'm not all that for the Predator storyline though... the campaign works though, and is sortof funny... just the story doesn't do much for me...

I'd love a remake of this game by Monolith... i liked the characters from this game, and some enhanced graphics, and animations would rock...

Well, there might be a sequal, but i can only hope that it's a follow up from AVP2... as i'd REALLY like to see some re-appearances... (Harrison was cool imo, could need more personality though)

Am I not Garrison? I never speak apparently.

Heh, that's Harrison :)

Anyways, he DOES speak, but only in cutscenes... he never ever leaks a word if you control him, and that bothers me... his personallity seemed cool, and i'd like more of that...

It happened several times that he got messages over voice communications... at least a response to some of these would be nice... and a little speaking to himself over a situation would be cool...

please only read if you're far into the game, or if you have beat it...

Splinter Cell 2: Pandora Tommorow

Felt it was time to continue that game I started a long time ago first before fully moving over to Aliens versus Predator 2 :)

Aliens versus Predator 2

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

It's getting apparent I am growing out of this genre... I still enjoy it even though it's more "time-killing". But I might still enjoy the Alien campaign a lot though :) And who knows how the Predator campaign will be. I finished Splinter Cell 2: Pandora Tomorrow by the way.

Aliens versus Predator 2

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

The story is difficult to follow, all that boring marine talk B) I don't notice much of Frosty's personality like you say Micki!, he looks like a normal marine to me B) The story from what I can follow is very good though... in the pods :)

That's the point though... There's just enough info about your character to make you "know him" With that info he seems like another grunt with no background... But in reality, he has gone through alot...

Read spoiler if you are familar with the Marines campaign: (yes, i know you are Cerb :))

Why do you include so much spoilers in your post outside the spoiler tag, I didn't have to know he has some background...

Oh No! More Lemmings

Arrgh..! B)

I didn't mean that he actually had a background, but that there was potentional for giving it to him... but sadly it's not like that...

And yeah, those spoilers should be inside the spoiler tags... must be because i edited my post with additinal stuff, and forgot to include them inside the spoiler tags... :)

It's fixed now...

Got past the pods now... so far the game is good but I have a few complaints: respawning enemies on places where it's impossible... marines spawning BEHIND you, that's very unfair... it's like in Doom 3, except in Doom 3 it doesn't bother me because they are demons so it makes sense they spawn behind you :) My other complaint is that the game is too EASY.

Zombies ate my Neighbors with Beelze.. awesome game but it's getting pretty hard!

I think it's awesome to play SNES over the net though, great feature.

Like when you enter the egg pit, and the stasis field is turned off... i wouldn't feel all that secure there... at least my response would be "Wh-WHAT..?" when i get told that the lever i'm supposed to pull turns off the stasis fields...

I didn't notice a difference between the behaviour of the eggs when the statis field was on, and off. I also didn't notice a difference with eggs elsewhere in the game.

You have to stand besides the eggs for a few seconds... in the stasis fields they didn't hatch at all if i remember correctly...

They also only hatch on certain locations... the game is heavily scripted, and extremely linear... so once you've beat it, it should be no problems any other time, as it will probably be exactly like the first time you played through :)

This is the first game where I think the linearity is funny B) Always so much locked doors... except one!!! B)

Lemmings with Cerberus.. I love how they made it possible to play Amiga games on the net. The lag is annoying in some games though as it makes the controls unresponsive. Doesn't seem to be a problem in Lemmings though.
