I was planning to buy the retail version because it comes with a map and the price was lower, but I guess I have to reconsider now.
Rockstar's servers apparently offer extremely wonky download speeds, so that's an extra motivation to go with the Steam edition.

Tempting sale overall with lots of titles 75-85% off, the downside being that it's easy to start hoarding stuff that I wouldn't have given any serious attention otherwise.
