Shadow Warrior: The Missing Voxels - Shadow Warrior Voxel Pack

you need to adjust the pivots so the center is the back of the model, sometimes centered models have issues connecting to floor/walls/ceilings.

Problem Solved!

I left the three pivot values x, y, z to zero.

Thank you ReaperMan and Scott

New Update

New voxels: Soap dispenser, sake bottle, candle

Although I cannot get the candle animation using voxels so feel free to disable that voxel modifying the voxfil file

Download: www.gigasize.com/get/tfz3h93fw0b

Have fun!

It's a deficiency in the engine that ART animation isn't applied to voxels. I believe I corrected it in EDuke32.

Didn´t know that, thanks Hendricks.

Would be cool if the Steam guys who add them to their Shadow Warrior Redux....

By the way do you happen to know any good alternative to gigasize?

Seems that the link are disabled after some time

Thanks

By the way here is a pic of the blue lamps in the tags scenario.

What its cool is that it changes the original blue stone lamp voxel either to blue or red according the map settings...

Fox and Nukey use https://www.sendspace.com/, so that may work for you

Yep. The palette colors in voxels are processed through the lookup tables just like ART.

I'm not sure about the paid version of sendspace, but at least with the free version, files are only hosted temporarily so it's a poor choice for something like this. Nobody's had anything bad to say about Mediafire on the other hand: mediafire.com

Yep, everyone should use mediafire.
Not rapeshare or any other crap like that.

I have still have a file on mediafire that has been there for at least 3+ years now.

Personally, I use Dropbox, but Mediafire is great too.

I'd like to point out one thing, instead of using kextract/GRPVIEWER to open GRP files, Slade 3 opens them just fine, and lets you edit them directly too.
While Slade 3 is mainly designed for Doom modding, it is great for all kinds of other games too.

Hendricks, there are animated voxels in shadow warrior for instance the ripper heart voxel item is animated.

The flag voxels for the tags multiplayer scenario are also animated voxels, here are the three of them that make the animated voxel:

You can see the flag moving in the tags scenario (shotgun.map) in SWP.

Should I write something in particular in the voxfil.txt file (besides writing the voxel name along with the sprite number it replaces) in order to make an animated voxel. In the case of the candle voxel I made three different voxel nevertheless I couldn´t trigger the animation...

As an update I already modifiy the stonelamp voxel so I made the version with fire in it:

Soon I will update the links, gotta fix some other voxels

Have fun

Martin

P.S. Yes I will try to change another site to upload the voxel pack.

Those animations may be hardcoded behavior for each respective sprite--the same kind of programming that gives the enemies their behavior, and not something that you can change externally.

Ok, bad news then. Thanks for clarinfying that echoe.

So I would have to change the game it self to make it work... too bad my knowledge is very limited :)

Thanks for comment Jimmy. It means a lot! B)

Making voxels from scratch really consumes a lot of time.

Stay tune as there will be more updates in the future!

I don´t wanna flood this thread with all the images I have so if you wanna see more pictures of the voxels and even pictures about the "making of" of these voxels, feel free to go to Robman´s forum, I have a thread there with lots of pictures:

I don´t know the official policy of duke4 forums about this echoe.

This there any particular "rule" about it?

I guess if they enter this thread they wanna see the pictures after all...

Generally we appreciate a bunch of pictures posted in spoilers (so they don't all load at once). This is how you would make a spoiler.

Lookin' good. I wouldn't recommend doing people/monsters yet. Seems you're on a good roll with these, and doing small objects will likely keep you motivated. Voxelizing the purple hentai chick will take a ton of work.
