I voted yes, but I'm not sure emo is the right term to describe myself. Cynically depressed (see what I did there?) sad bastard is probably more like it. The government is a conspiracy, humanity is going to be wiped out, I dislike most of the people that I have the (dis)pleasure of meeting, etc.
I am a very big Tears for Fears fan and most of their music is very EMOtional, if you listen to the lyrics. So yeah, I'd say I'm part way there.

I don't think so. EMO is EMO despite what CNN ( or other news media ) says. It's still a group of people. Usually, people have a stronger survival instinct than a suicidal one.
