Emo is the dumbest thing ever invented. I'd recommend you just go jump off a cliff now for even giving emo a listen.

Huh? Just a blank screen... Emoish though.

I was into the goth scene for a year or two. Nothing major. But I'm just me now.

What do you mean by "into the goth scene"? Goth party/concerts or whatever?

Quote

Couldn't really careless about what I'm supposed to be labeled as.... human?

Well, I think this is a good thing that various people label you differently. Which means labeling is nonsense.

Thank you, but I prefer cutting my wrists. Much more romantic.

I'm trying wear something non-black. Feels really weird. Black is cool.

What drives one to become a part of the "emo" culture? Is it really a cause of deep inner conflicts or is it just a fad that people follow?

A new fad that's forming is how angsty 13/14-year-old girls declare themselves as bisexual. But that's an entirely different subject.

Most of the people have inner conflicts. Though, the so called "emo", it seems, openly express their inner conflicts before trying to cope with them. Well, whatever. Mostly that's just a fashion/trend, maybe.

Well why not deal with your problems rather than turning to something like that? Is the logical conclusion that emo people are problem-avoiding sissies?

2. Listen to shitty music.
3. Wear black.

rule 2 there applies to about 90% of the world who just listen to what radio stations think they should like.
rule 3 shouldnt really apply all that much as well, during the canadian winter here, I wear black, because it obsorbs heat, rather then deflecting lite.

I didnt quote rule 1 because I agree.

btw, being emo isnt something thats all that great. yeah life sucks, but you have to make something of it. people who truely deserve to be emo are quadrapolegics (did i spell that right)?
what a shitty life to live.

Quadriplegic. I wouldn't say "deserve to be an emo". That sounds awkward.

While I know about the heat, I though it is more light/sun related. I don't see real difference if there is no sun in the sky.

Besides, how cold is "canadian winter"?

I've never heard anyone wear black during the winter because black absorbs light.

And a bonus:

lol

Canadian winters are fucking cold. -30, -45's are pretty common. Plus windchill which makes it feel like -60C

Edit. I wear black all the time during winter. Yeah I wear colors as well but what kind of a retard would wear white during winter.
1. you'll get hit by a car while crossing the street if your not careful.
2. you ever go snowboarding in white then you deserve to die. It makes it im-fucking-possible to find you should something go wrong.

Yes, because 14 year olds have real problems. Emo is just a shitty movement that's homogenized and factory-made by MTV/Fuse, Hot Topic, Radio, and any other major corporation to get money from stupid kids. They have none of their own ideas, and it doesn't bother them one bit. They claim to be non-conformists while they all look the same and shop at a major corporation's store. Emo kids also generally believe themselves to be punks, which is utterly laughable as they get the shit kicked out of them at any punk show. Worse than the worst of Hair Metal and Modern Rap combined.

I rate emos as slightly more tolerable than a gallon of goat cum, and slightly less tolerable than vegetarians.

There are other colours, you know.

Black long overcoats are great in the winter.

Yes, I mean the PETA/Crazy Asshole variety of Vegetarians. I have absolutely no problem with you, since you're not preachy about it.

I've got to be honest, I'm starting to feel like an "emo" at work -- everyone's so goddam CHEERFUL all the time, and won't stop screeching with laughter (in a small, fairly crowded office). It's slowly driving me insane... but I haven't cut myself yet, except by accident on the edges of cardboard boxes (I go into the archive to escape the noise)

Yeah, every day of the week

But hey, it's SATURDAY!! Officially, because I'm up after midnight. Huzzah, time to prop up the economy by spending money on Tottenham Court Road... after I sleep for a few hours. And I'm sure it'll be sunny or something. See, no dismal mood here, I'm only emo at work! ;)

Well, it makes a change from being an old curmudgeon, sneering at chavs making noise in the street outside. Gerrout of it, you young punks! (throws shoe)
