Pictures of your old computer parts and/or hardware.  "Got any pics of ancient computer hardware to share?"

#1

Here's a pic of 5 CPU's from left-right as follows including the year they've been made.

1: AMD Athlon II X4 630 (2008)
2: Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E4400 2.00 GHz (2005)
3: Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 2.40 GHz, 512K Cache, 533 MHz FSB (2001)
4: Intel Overdrive ODPR486DX-33 MHz (1989)
5: Intel i486 DX (1989)

Got any ancient/not-so-ancient hardware to share?

I'm too lazy to grab the camera for a pic. My only piece of older equipment is an IBM laptop with a Pentium 266 mhz CPU. The only reason I still have it around is because I have 2 pieces of electronic test equipment that need a real 9 pin serial port along with Dos and win98 to run the software for them. Everything else I have given away to others.

I think I've still got a 3COM ISA network card somewhere.

Most of my old stuff is gone... either ditched it before the move 3 years ago or sold it on eBay while it was still worth anything to anyone. I do think I've still got a big pile of old Opterons and probably 20 gigs of ECC Reg DDR2 laying around, though--I ordered a single used rackmount system a couple of years ago and ended up with 3 of them after order errors and parts needing replacing were taken care of. It started off with them accidentally sending me two full systems instead of one, and then the board in one of them was bad so instead of just sending a new board they sent an entire third system and didn't ask for ANY of it back. It was a pretty sweet deal, all things considered... the price was good even when it was just the one system I intended to buy!

I found something after all. DOS 3.3 and GW BASIC Books and 5 1/4" floppy disks

It looks like grey plastic on top but its actually dust covered black plastic. ;)

I've got some weird shit.

Ever hear of a Rise MP6 processor? No? Well, fuck me, I had no idea this piece of shit existed until last year. 200MHz, 266 PR rating, all the floating point math performance of Jessica Simpson. I'm pretty sure it'll give my Socket 7 boards leprosy or whooping cough or some shit so it stays in it's anti static bag thing. I ordered it from a hive of chinks so you know it's legit.

Creative Goldfinch card. AWE32 without the Sound Blaster. Neat little thing, you can add AWE support to any card. You just gotta use African American engineering to get the custom header to output through a 3.5mm jack, but that's a five minute job if you have the manual.

SiS 6326 AGP. Pretty sure it's the slowest AGP card ever.

Zotac 7900GS 512MB. The only one of these I've ever seen with 512MB RAM. Why they'd throw that much RAM on a cheap ass card is beyond me.

I got some Bigfoot hard drives, which are great if you wanna go Chris Benoit on someone.

No pictures, it's 4AM and I had some whiskey.

Some here; http://www.vintage-c...tures-Videos%29

This thing; http://www.vintage-c...87&d=1365329985 (Any Russians / Ukranians here? The only working Speccy I have ever had, yay for Soviet engineering)

Got a few things on YouTube too, this was the latest;

Covers my old P3 workstation and talks about the Duron I was running around the same time. P3 has a few aces up it's sleeve.

HT. You have a good documentary style speaking voice. The British accent needs a little more work though. Not quite believable.

Pulled this one out of my Dad's machine. It's an EVGA Geforce 9500GT.
