NPOKMOP from the original movie La Femme Nikita - this is more for map background music than actually listening, but ....

It's like time stood still and Paul King is still whispering in the MTV studios.
I've got Loveless and I've always had mixed feelings about that album; one moment I'm really struck by MBV's unique sound and the beauty in the songs, the next I have a hard time coping with their hallmark pitch bending.
Only Tomorrow doesn't sound that special, though.
Thinking of 1991:
Talk Talk - Ascension Day

If This And Yes and Only Tomorrow are the weakest songs, imo, but New You, If I Am and In Another Way are absoluteley amazing.

This stuff is stuck in my head at the moment;
Mr. President - Coco Jambo
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=m_-Qtz70_z4
Culture Beat - Mr. Vain
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=cFeJsvIgKU0
The last one especially. Not sure why I'm listening to this kinda thing lately as I still don't really like that kind of music at all; most people here probably know I usually listen to metal, so listening to this dance stuff is rather abnormal, I suspect most of it is nostalgia - being a kid in the 90's with an older brother that listened to this stuff probably caused that. For all the jokes I make about dance music and often claim it to be "crap" I have to say, this 90's stuff was a damn sight better than the stuff that's around now in my opinion.

So I just realized this band existed like thirty minutes ago. I found the track "The Court of the Crimson King" on accident and loved it. Before I knew it, I had searched up a video with their full debut album. I loved it.

The Cramps - Live in Amsterdam 1990 + VPRO TV interview
I could have been there and I should have been there; well, at least I got to see the Pixies live in Amsterdam that year.
Whoa...there's some things baby I just can't swallow.
Mama told me that girls are hollow.
Uh-uh...What's inside a girl?
