I would never recommend using DNCE. Ever. It'll just make you lazy and disengaged with your code.

I didn't use DNCE, I used Notepad++.

Now, armed with your editor, you should be able to trace and fix your brace sets. Zoom to the line the error is mentioned, and see where the missing or wrong brace occurred, which may be at the beginning or end of a loop or statement, and repeat this for all other error messages.
As I said before, the code you work with is very large, and your resulting learning curve, from a beginner, is steep.

Hank, how do i repeat for all other error messages, while using Notepad++ for editing my modified Duke 3D GAME.CON file?

That I don't know (remember).
When I open the Duke game with EDuke32, EDuke32 generates an "eduke32.log" file (that may show up as a text type file in Windows), writing out the executing sequence, that includes any encountered errors.


Try this. Run the your Duke game and see which file was generated last. This file may write out the same thing. Either way, open it in your editor and see what is written in it.

This is actually eduke32.log but the default .log file association is the same as .txt, so if you have extensions hidden they look the same.

I fixed the error, pointed out by Hendricks266; that EDuke32 does not write an eduke32.txt file, it writes an eduke32.log file. To avoid future readers being mislead by my post, I edited the post, and stated to Hendricks266 and everyone else that the correction took place; with ^ (pointing to the post above) fixed.

Yes, I have Notepad++ , and I recommend this software to anyone wanting to edit Duke Script i.e. con files. :P
