I've been playing through this (won a code) and really love the job General Arcade did. A really slick interface, tons of options and for some ATI folks who keep their drivers up to date, a chance to play through Shadow Warrior in HD without crashing when entering water or resorting to playing with the sound effects disabled as I previously had to. The base game really hold up. Not quite on par with Duke, Doom or Blood, but a classic must-play shooter all the same. I would love to see all retro shooters get this kind of treatment.

Thanks, but I think I'll skip. I'll be getting it anyway when it launches (which should be today IIRC), so it doesn't really matter. But unless I'm mistaken pretty much everyone agreed that Megaton had too few/boring achievements.

Duke Megaton had only a few achievements, all (except a couple of "find this specific secret" achievements) which were triggered on a normal playthrough, on any difficulty. None of them required any real 'achievement', not even playing on a difficulty above easy.
There is a huge thread on the Megaton forums with achievement suggestions.
At the very least you should have achievements for beating the game/s on higher difficulties, especially as SW's higest difficulty is much more fair than Duke 3D's.

Whatever, Call of Duty would make a GREAT movie. I can see the taglines now... "One man. Two guns. One million brown people. Where will you be when duty calls?" And then it cuts away to a really cool looking drone sequence that simultaneously glorifies the wholesale destruction of civilian lives and property while providing a stunning graphical backdrop for our great country's national anthem. It will be a triumphant box office success!

Does anybody know how to add a desktop shortcut to the addon campaigns?

The created shortcut always starts the main game only whithout asking which campaign I want to play.

EDIT: Ignore, it sometimes starts the main campaign and sometimes not. Had to do with cloud syncing. When Steam couldn't sync it started the main game.

Thanks for releasing Classic Redux. Always good seing people who helped getting acknowledged. Most of those are in the credits, although I can't seem to find Bryan Turner(or Scott Miller in any 2013 capacity for that matter) mentioned anywhere. I can't wait to see what is coming up with regards to features and bug fixes in Megaton Edition and Classic Redux. Will you be putting source code up on Github like with Megaton Edition?

Just more and more great news for Apogee/3DR fans lately and you guys at GeneralArcade have been a big part of that this year and late last year(Shadow Warrior iOS, Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition and Shadow Warrior Classic Redux).

This shadow warrior game is crashing on me big time. First when I tried to press the button to exit the first level, then when the turret on the train station hit me, please tell me this doesn't have the same crashes as the Jonof port :D

EDIT: Nope... can't exit the first level without crashing :D

EDIT2: Can't even save inside the train at the end of the first level :)

That sucks DavoX. I haven't had any problems with the Redux version. Finished the shareware campaign without a single crash. Previously when playing under SWP whenever I jumped in water, turned the sound effects on or tried to finish the level it would hard crash for me. Extremely frustrating!

Windows xp pro sp3, gforce 210 (yes I know crappy card, but the classic game doesn't crash for me, although of course it doesn't have polymost).

I have windows 7 also on this computer so I should check with that.
