Looking good, and for crying out loud use online storage Posted Image Cloud services like Google Drive and Dropbox are free and easy to use; you won't even realize it's doing anything special, but it ensures that the files aren't accidentally lost in a hard drive crash, plus you can access it from any computer.

Glad to see you're back on it at any rate.

There's a problème with the "Shrink Ring" artefact.

Indeed it impeaches you to be shrunk but the problem is that in 3 levels of the game you actualy need to be shrunk, once to access a secret and twice to go on with the level, but the problem is that you cannot shrink yourself via a weapon and a mirror or via the thing on the wall that shoots shrink rays and it consequently brakes the level as in you'll never access the secret or the rest of the level T_T

I think you should make it so that the artefact protects us from shrinking only when it comes from an enemy and not from the player or the thing in the wall.
But since it's all about a shrink ray I assume it'll be very hard for you guies to either make the game take into account the origin of the ray or something like that but this is problematic since it can break a level uncompletable.

For the 3 concerned levels I tried the classic glitch of jumping and crouching in order to pass under smaller areas than intended but it looks like the creator of the maps saw this coming and made it realy too small for this glitch to work.

Please tell me what you think ?
I have hopes of seeing this fixed in the next episode if not via a patch for the curent one.

Do you mean the levels in the classic collection? I'm aware of the problem, the ring wasn't really thought out that well. The problem could be fixed, although I'd have to do some digging to find out if the shrinker projectile keeps the player's identity when it gets bounced back off a mirror. The classic collection will most likely be removed for EP2 but I'll see if I can fix it for usermaps at least ^_^

Yes in the Classic collection.

Why removing it ^_^ ?
It's a great idea to have maps like this in a selectable succession, it gives more replay value than having just the episodes.

BTW you also think about removing the "shrink ring" artefact but it is to admit that it has it's utility when fighting protector drones besides we don't take any damage when hit unlike it the original duke game.

Made functional video game clip of AMC TC.
High quality.
I use bandicam so no need for microphone to record, I can even shut down my speaker and it still record sounds / musics.

Vid is long to upload tho cus is high quality.
Largest clip is over 10GB.
Is divided by 7 parts.

So made a playlist will contain em.
Soo far I uploaded 1, second one is coming.

Everything works, no lag with a Quad-core 3.9 GHZ (4.2 turbo.)

With Windows 7 64 from my new PC, for duke HRP I noticed the quality of image / texture became better, 100% quality of a jpeg / png etc. no blur nor degradation. Even tiniest details aren't sacrificed.

Hey, how is it going? I'd like to ask a quick question seeing a 'statement of intent' of James (lol) in another thread of this sub-forum (IIRC, the thread was called 'Done') where he mentioned that The Classic Collection is likely to be removed from the next release. If this is the case, how is it going to affect to our progress? Is our budget and AMC members and base improvements safe (to be utilized in the missions to come)? :P

Jungle level is finished.

Is part 1 of 2 (of the Jungle base).

P1 is forest (finished)
P2 is the base

The content of the file includes (music of level) (con code) (tile art)

Level has a few parts you must use that kick, You know the thing you kick a wall to jump farther and little higher.

Looks good in mapster, I'll wait and see if James can integrate it to the main TC before I try playing it.

I take that despite the public release of part 1, you still want the mission to be an official part of episode 2? By the time you finish part 2, you wouldn't have to wait very long before the full episode gets released anyway.

It sure would be nice to be forced to use that wall kick/jump technique a bit regularly since in the First Episode and all of the Classic User Maps we get to use that technic something like only ONCE (in the training course).

BTW may I ask >> Will there be a new Training Course or will the current one be extended with the new features ?

Zaxtor, that map's not gonna work with Episode 1 of the TC so I'd recommend taking it down for the time being - release isn't too far away so it won't be long before people can play it :) gonna check it out now, nice work! How long till the second part is ready?

PS.
Map itself isn't hard.

Easy mobs.
Easy not to die from monsters unless you're reckless.

Slime pits to fall to your death are rare.
Mostly when you fall you can climb back (from slope)

PS the kick thing to jump far/high
Is not insanely everywhere.

You only have to do it a few times.

1 and 2 at beginning area (not hard).
3rd little hard
4th one, a long one but not that hard.
5th one , somewhat easy, cus its short length.
6th hardest one, (longest kick jump) but if you fall you can return up in few secs.


I can put a fossa (in the forest) to give you hints.

It is for Episode 2 yeah, just this forum isn't private so anybody can download the map - it won't work for them since it uses Episode 2 resources. don't forget that there's the hidden forum at AMC to talk about this :) I've added glowing fireflies to help navigation a bit, so apart from the starting area I've been able to get through the map ok. One more thing though, the art tiles I gave you was for TIles075.art, not Tiles076 - I already switched them over for you and I can do that again for the last part of the map but I just though I'd let you know.

Mushrooms are like Oblivion gives hints.


Red (normal)

Green (good way)
Brown (neutral)
Dark-gray (bad way)

I added a fossa near the cabin that gives few hints.
Is about almost a minute long hint etc.

I didn't know about the mushrooms - well don't worry about the first map, I can add a fossa using the in game conversation system rather than sound files. You can concentrate on the second map - if you need anything or you want something explained, let me know in a PM here or at the AMC TC forums at AMC.

Fossa is already done (hours ago). Including character etc.
Its a fossa from Oblivion.
Secret level I believe of E1.

Also he's in a quiet spot so the forest ambiance doesn't make his speech difficult to hear
