I didn't make them guys, and he said anyone is more than welcome to edit them in terms of perspective and well, everything else.

ZDoom forums also talked about the perspective of the first pistol the most. It would probably need the most work, but the other 2 look fine to me.

I didn't know it was possible to hold a gun at that angle...

And the silencer is misaligned, I don't think the gun would work.

But the forever gun is reeeeeeally cool.

It could work if he re-did it. There's a version of the base of the gun that has a way more realistic perspective.

Here's a comparison shot of the two assault rifles. It looks similar, but the sprite version seems to be missing the grenade launcher and the handle or scope or whatever is slightly bent down. Looks more like a scope to me, but I'm not 100% on that.

I'll show this thread to him to see if he wishes to update them.

He´s based the gun on another reference (the one in the 2001 video). As you can see the flag in your pic has stars in the red part and a knot. I know because I did a similar one for my own use.

The flag is copypasted from this shot:

It's not a scope, it's wrapped around the rear-sight/handle, it's an m16 carbine type weapon.

Ah I got you, he used the 2001 version of the gun as a reference. :D

I decided to take a break from mapping today and go back to what got me started in the Eduke community. Making textures. I combined seperate textures of bricks, cement, windows, door and trim into one. Then I did some minor blending and touchups. I have included the normal and spec maps but I did not actually put these in the game to check them out so those may or may not need some tweaking. They are 512 x 512 png's with no optimizing. I'm leaving it up to the user on how they wish to convert or compress them.

I noticed 32 downloads of my textures. I was wondering if anyone actually put them in a map and what kind of results did you have? I suppose I should just shut up and put them in and take a look myself. :P

I just slapped them in the game and on a wall in a test map real quick without tweaking any settings for the normal and spec maps. I'm happy with the looks so far.
After posting I noticed I didn't stretch the tile enough vertically. Oops.

It's good but it should be even less shiny IMO - I think it feels a bit like wet clay currently

Now that they are in the game I can tweak the textures and their settings in the defs to try and fix that.

After a day of using those, Duke's gonna have sore muscles but a huge smile on his face.

He just hold it with one of his hands in the middle, so he can hold two of these at the same time.

Hmm, Well I was going to have it where one hand was holding that handle in the center, but if he held it that way then the CON script MUST have it where Duke is pushed around at random, because holding a giant gun with one hand it crazy. So I guess he's holding them at an unseen trigger at the bottom.

And it's alright about that, no problem.

@Fox, yeah like I said, the CON would have to make him jump/fly around into various directions to show how unbalanced this weapon is. Imagine holding 2 M-60s, you'd never actually hit anything that was straight in front of you, but instead you'd hit EVERYTHING but your target. I'd imagine that would be what would happen if he held it that way. Even if he holds it the way pictured, this gun would be far less accurate than the Devastator, but way deadlier.

Anyways, I may make a CON file along with the fire frame soon.

I'd prefer the holes in the legs to have a little depth rather than simple black rectangles, but otherwise a mighty fine mighty boot you've got there.
