From the sounds of things on how the game was already playing, maybe GBX actually made a wise decision to prohibit a release...

Or considering how the leader of the project was acting...

So we can all agree that are maybe 4 possibles causes of the DN3DR failure:

A - Stupidity or even arrogance of the devs on the license agreement
B - Devs were just using Duke and its community to be noted on the gaming media
C - The game just plain sucks in a hopeless way, so GBX decided to end all possibilities of DN3DR be green-lighted someday. The "leaked" footage corroborates this teory.
D - all of the above

An anonymous little birdie told me something the other day that suggested the license has in fact been revoked. No idea if there's any truth to it since I don't know who it was. :D

The question I am asking myself is: if the antics of this fuck head closed the door of getting any other non-commercial licenses for Duke Nukem; and I wonder what other teams were/are out there, hoping for one. Posted Image

What makes you think the license agreements for those hypothetical fan-made Duke Nukem projects wouldn't face more Gearbox stone-walling? In other words, never promising a public release.

The only other recent project I can think of was the DNF 98 thing. And they were shut down before it ever really got started. The vast majority of fan-made games hoping for a license would turn out the same.

If someone wants to make Duke 3D with unreal engine then just do it and put it out, everybody can play Streets of Rage Remake and theres nothing Sega can do about it, nothing. DN3DR must have just been a platform to recognition, I will never buy an interceptor game, but if its really great (unlikly) then I will download it for free to avoid giving them any money. Thats right fresch I will pirate you're games and encourage others to do so as well lol. (I know you are reading from the shadows)

My nose tells me Interceptor had nothing to issue. Posted Image

Schreiber wanted to issue the promised game in pieces, a lot of pieces that by his own admission are incomplete. Round One: The fans get multiplayer map(s) that may or may not work under the premise that once the paying (those that donated) testers tested them, Interceptor will improve on it, with considerable hype. Some plan. Now I ask you who is stone walling whom? I seriously doubt Gearbox would have put a hold on the MP maps if they would have worked, or if there was a remote chance they could be made into a workable products in the foreseeable future.

My original question stands. Posted Image

@t Ripemanewone - I think Fresch should go into advertisment. I never seen so much propaganda about a non-existing product, he has talent, methinks. Posted Image

Should also add:
- fresch is just far too incompetent to accomplish this kind of project

Some people brought this up as soon as Next-Gen was announced based on earlier projects of fresch, and with solid arguments. I was a little skeptic at first, but these guys were absolute right about fresch.

This has been explained to death already. If you still don't get it then there's no point repeating over and over and fucking over again.

So to sum it up, Fresch is a joke, the hype is a joke, the game being 90% complete is a joke, and overall, Interceptor is a joke of a company. Got it.

He has a horrible track record, I mean he failed at making the Diakatana remake, which was a bad idea anyway. Then he failed at the Sin remake... and now the Duke Nukem 3D remake. I am sure there are a few other failures too. Why anyone would select him to run a project is beyond me.

Almost reminds me of Terry Nagy.

I actually want one of his remakes to be completed and released, so that real developers can see how crappy it is and learn to not want to touch him with a 10 foot pole.

Funny how all Fresch's attempts turn sour.

Thanks for posting it, I wish it was in a better quality. Imho it doesn't look as bad as every says it looks, especially considering the first hq video posted before.

IMP
The game was canceled because it was not a modern remake of DN3D.
Fresch as soon as he got the license started to make his own version of DNF with motorcycles and helicopters.
AKA Euro DUKE!!! that could be done in a year because there was no money to motivate the programmers.

This Idealism comes to us from the Netherlands, the home of beastiality porn.
Fresch, hook us up with that video of your girl and the, your best friend.

Ok, the video is from livestream that Fresch did at the Start of September. He said he would only talk to us but instead he showed us ingame footage and the editor of the game. he deliberately made the stream lower quality as he was filming from his webcam. Near the end of the video is where it gets better quality.

That's interesting, since there isn't a single Dutch name on Interceptor's personnel roster.
Quite what's so "Euro" about motorcycles and helicopters is puzzling as well.

What's the matter champ, overdosed on the good ol' American Budweiser?

The graphics weren't bad at all, it was the rest of it that was the problem. There was just enough content created to make some cool looking screenshots and nothing more. The map actually still had some areas with a default checkerboard texture on them...

Someone should just "leak" the version TX had at least. *cough cough*

Hahahahah, what a joke. This just goes to show how important having real programmers is. No matter how many great texture artists you have or hype-machines, you need programmers!

Huh? Someone posted here the rumour, two days ago, that the non-commercial license issued to Interceptor may have been revoked.
That is my question here – Do you think, the door closed for good in getting any other non-commercial license for Duke Nukem; based not the fiasco we witnessed for the last year. I think it is.

@ The Commander - this would be illegal and we don't need it. I trust TX's judgement. Interceptor had nothing to issue. Posted Image

A picture is worth a thousand words,
Duke Nukem Reloaded was just AKA Euro DUKE!!!
with Frederik Schreiber face in it and he's so self absorbed
that he jerks off to his own image.

Posted Image

Thanks TX for posting that info about his BULLSHIT.

My money is on stupid. Now he's trying to rewrite history by censoring himself so any future projects aren't immediately shot down. Fresch and Interceptor Entertainment will be back next year with a whole new look, probably a different name, and any connections to Duke Reloaded will be scrubbed from history or completely fictionalized in their favor. Ideally they want to build up a new totally ignorant fan-base. I can already see the flame wars incited by people trying to educate the clueless morons who follow them.

Do you suppose Fresch will take a new picture of himself with his hair dyed black and a fake mustache and call himself Mr, Freschnson?

Aww wait, never mind I think he already did.

What? He's right. It's true. DNR even has a texture where his face looks photoshopped onto some gay looking male model lifting up his shirt.
