All those PC Gamer mags I used to buy as well. They clearly have been seduced by the mainstream COD rubbish multiplayer so much that they have forgotten how to have fun.

The multiplayer reminds me of the old days with dukematch, Quake 3 Arena and ofcourse RTCW ( very addictive ).
I think i will have much fun in Dukematch or capture the babe.

Stop talking about the demo in every damn thread.
Everytime i see the latest comment you're whining about the demo.
Godd@mn, you're not the only one that has been waiting for so long to play this fine piece of awesomeness.

Looked like some sort of KeyGen display, but now that I come to think of it, there's no way they could know so it must be fake. Also the demo access has the key in a different format as to what was shown in this vid. It was late when I posted that and promply fell asleep, hence my late reply.

Indeed.
Forum rules are like the disclaimers included in a game installer; they're valid, but shouldn't be used as a catch-all solution without consideration of the circumstances.
If you look at the other Gearbox rules quoted, they get violated constantly, yet this doesn't lead to infractions or bans at the slightest offence.
It looks like the admins over there prefer the sledgehammer over the scalpel and in this case that looks like a sign of weakness, not strength.
To be honest, I don't think this type of head burying damage control is ever the right way to go.

im sure they are taking their time, just so they can come up with ways of delaying, and keeping it for themselves.. no that doesnt make sense in the business world but hey what have they done thats actually good so far?

I'd rather hear "soon" than "When it's done"
Why on earth would they want to keep it for themselves? If you've put $20 million + into acquiring and finishing something, you'd want it out on the market as soon as possible whilst being sure that it works so you can make some money back from it.
"What have they done that's good so far?"
I can understand your frustration but saying that is just silly. Gearbox helped triptych bring this game back from the dead if you don't see that as a good thing then there is no pleasing you.

You don't know their reason for "anything" for the most part, so reason are then being made up... then the made up reasons for which you have little but mostly no basis are the justification for some pretty negative behaviors.
Reminds me of paranoid little bitches (I used to date) that assume every guy is cheating on them as soon as they can't see them. It has nothing to do with the guy, it is a problem with the bitch thinking it. Baggage usually, but anyway...
From what I CAN see (and didn't make up) is that some people are getting banned on judgement, not rules alone. "Well he confessed to the murder, but we didn't read the Miranda rights correctly, so he is free to go." I don't believe in technicalities like that. "GO JUDGEMENT! YAY!"
The reasons for which they have the rules really don't matter, they are still the rules. If I had a forum, I might have a rule that you can't use conjunctions... don't like it, move along. My forum my rules. Their forum, their rules. If they are reducing bans to infractions, sounds like the system is working pretty darn good. Making mistakes is unavoidable, but taking responsibility for them and reversing them, is rare and impressive.
For anyone pissed about now from my post this far, cool your jets bitch. I never said what they are even doing is right, so don't go saying I am defending them. Because I don't know, I am trying to look at what I do know and can know. Just trying to look at both sides, because most here are not even open to the possibility that maybe GearBox is doing the best they can. Many of the posts here are just because someone is mad, so GearBox can do no right... 5th grade man.
They don't have to be fair really... because it is their forum. Technically, they don't even have to follow their own rules from a legal perspective.
But it is irritating that EVERY time GearBox or anyone else does anything people don't like, "they are bad" all of the sudden. Maybe you will never know the reasons why anything about the release of the game is what it is, but all this automatically deciding it is "big bad money hungry company is out to screw us over and suppress us and wah wah wah, overthrow the oppressors..." is really unwise.
I would be pissed if I believe I got banned unfairly too... and I might even take down their site for spite, but not likely, because that would only hurt the rest of the guys who weren't hit with friendly fire. I would not steal the game or any of that other stuff either... in the end it would only hurt you guys. In a way, the idealist in me says that their job is to get Duke Nukem Forever out the door and I will pay them for that service. All this other stuff about forums and fairness and rules and perspectives on things "being late" etc is just a distraction.
Listening to and considering something you can't prove for yourself is one thing... but believing in things you can't prove or "made up" yourself to the point of using it as justification for anger, attacks, etc is totally 5th grade.
But that is cool really because there is nothing here in the rules that says you can't be totally 5th grade.
(There is also nothing in the rules that says I can't point it out every time either. )

I was banned at good old 3D Realms, for promoting hacking. I emailed Joe S. and the ban was lifted within an hour, we corrected my bad English. Still, I never posted there again, well, too off-topic. - Any chance you can contact the banner, like in the old days, or is it now all computerized? Either way, stick around, this forums rocks!

Yes, it sure is.
Also, don't worry about the june 14th date in Germany.
Germans always are the latest and there will be no delay.
Some stupid people are getting paranoid by seeing the june 14th date of Germany, really, don't worry.

It's promotion. GBX are trying to keep hype levels up, albeit in a somewhat unorthadox way at this stage when a public demo would do fine, but going to gaming events and alike is still a great way to do that. If the game was going to be delayed (Which, considering it's now done and at certification seems very unlikely) then GBX would have had to say something sooner, there's a lot of retailers and promoters involved who don't want to look even more foolish after the last delay was made and they can't just leave it until the last minute and then say "Sorry, game's delayed. But you guys don't mind, right?".

A leaked internal build of a demo(pax one aparrently) got leaked for jtagged 360s
It is NOT the FAC demo
Oooh, so it really wasn't a proper leak, you needed Devkit 360s to even run it and it wasn't even the real demo?
Then I guess my previous statement stands... it wasn't really a demo leak.
