There is a "most" respected user? The rep points may show some guidance but they may also well just show who has posted the most stuff that the most people like. I mean, some people just got points for posting boobs.

If I had to take a stab, I'd say Yatta is the most respected. He started the site and has kept with it the whole way through. He generally makes respectful posts and when there is conflict he intervenes in a way that tries to reach a compromise. You can't help but love him, he is so damn cuddly. :D

Is Mr deviance the one with the most +votes? Hmm. I think we should forget about the rep system.

Well, if you mean who is the most well liked, I'd probably say Yatta. He's a hell of a guy. A while back we got some rare Duke loot from Charlie and there weren't enough Planet of the Babes pens to go around. I really wanted one so he gave the last one to me instead of keeping it for himself. Stuff like that is but a small part of the proof of how awesome of a guy Yatta is. I really admire that quality about him because frankly my thought patterns are a little (okay, more like a lot) too sociopathic to do nice things like that most of the time.

As far as most respected for work done for and involvement with Duke I nominate myself, because my contributions to the community have been vast and great. For a long time I spent more time writing code for EDuke32 than I did sleeping. Without my work the current state of Duke3D modding would absolutely not be possible, and when 3DR tanked I brought an entire community here and took the forums from their state of moderate desolation to the flourishing hangout they are today. Like Duke himself, I'm not humble about it at all. I managed to get my name into the DNF credits so obviously I'm doing something right! :D

The duke credits list was fucking long lol. I almost died waiting for it to finish.

Well, actually, technically, geographically the Stanley Cup is in Boston, so it's closer to my town. Hopefully, my town, like this season, ... nah let's not go there.

It is odd but when you stop posting abrasive things and just post crap about DNF that people agree with or appreciate, then I suppose you can change your image. It isn't ideal but postwhores always lose in life even if they win on the internetz. :D

I concur. Between TX and the other coders of eduke32 (Helixhorn, and Plagman) there wouldn't be much of a duke community here. TX was able to use his awesome moderator powers to direct traffic to Duke4.net after the virtual collapse of the 3DR forum community. Those who were working on Duke3D migrated here and brought all of what makes the community with them.

You actually deserve to be banned for that comment, ReaperMan. I am ashamed of you. It isn't even funny to joke about such a thing. The one who shan't be named is not even worth joking about.

Besides, I think TX banned him, once again demonstrating TX's awesomeness.

I was about to say that! I really want to see CultureShock posts now more than ever. :D

Yatta of course is the man. But it would be interesting to pick someone who's not admin/webmaster etc.

TX, you are clearly great in all the things listed above but I'd rather not have you as a moderator. :D

Yeah, I banned him. He sent me some duhurrrr email about it afterwards but I didn't give a shit and forgot about it and never replied. Oh well. The aversion to banning people from these forums is gone, folks. People who sign up just to post about how much they hate Duke are pretty much gone as soon as I see them because they don't have much business on a Duke forum. Likewise, anyone who looks like they're making an effort to piss people off probably isn't lasting long anymore either. We have too many new users and too many posts being made constantly now to bother with giving morons the chance to change that they never take.

Who is this guys? I've heard of CultureShock of course, but the other guys mentioned have left me at sea, I'm clearly missing something here. I thought all forums had no aversion to banning, but TX's post impiles otherwise.

Sorry for a seemingly random quote guys, but I meant to reply to ReaperMan's post sooner.

EDIT: Yatta seems cool to me also.

By "duhurrrr" do you mean apologetic? Because if so, that might make for an interesting read, given how loud-and-proud he was about his trolling.

It's not as promising as it sounds, really. Here's his profile in case you haven't seen it already http://forums.duke4....8-blackharted/. Basically he was just some dumbass that hung out on the forum for a little over a year, all the while spamming shitposts and going out of his way to piss people off. Most members learned to ignore him over time, but that wasn't enough for him to make any kind of improvement, and I'm guessing TX reached that conclusion before bitch-slapping him off the forum. He was pretty vocal about the fact that he was trolling, but in hindsight I don't really think he joined with the intention to troll, he just picked it up after a month or two because most other members were already at odds with his shitty attitude and border-line retarded opinions. Kinda makes me think of a certain other equally worthless member.

No! I've already changed the subject to penis length discussion.

If you are insecure, you can use the TMI measure from SouthPark. The Surgeon General's equation is:

Quote

Length times Girth over Angle of the Shaft (aka YAW) divided by mass over WIDTH

But Randy Marsh prefers the following equation:

Quote

Length times Diameter plus Weight over Girth divided by Angle of the Tip squared.

Why do you want to know everyone's penis length? Are you insecure?
