@ Plagman – Thanks. The Laptop is old, I've got it in 2007. Drivers, all of them. The Wireless, Flashdrive and CD no longer functioned. All I had left working was GRUB, and whatever I needed to do I had to make sure I'm the super administrator. Well, at least I know now a shitload of console commands. Lol. - It's fixed bt.w.. I made an old fashioned cord connection and loaded it with the back up from my other computer.

I'm really annoyed at my school right now because I'm only playing badminton for 5 more weeks until everyone in my year level and I stop to focus on studies, and our team (the top team in the school) doesn't have it's own shirt, like just about every other sport's top team does. I've been trying to put a new shirt into the works for the past 3 months or so, but it looks like we're only going to be able to wear it for one match, which most annoyingly is the most important match ever where we play our school rivals and lots of people from lots of different schools come to watch.

And this is going to be a bloody $50 or more shirt. One wear? This shows how bloated society is with unnecessary procedures and practices. Someone should be appointed to look at everything that exists and be able to cut it out if it doesn't serve any real purpose.

Since the topic called "The forum is corrupting attachments" has been locked, i'll post my reply here.

Spirrwell I was getting worked up a little to get my point clearly across. I was not in any way lying. A sign of lying in my book is saying something made up on the spot, which i wasn't as I've said i don't care several times. An example? Ok i didn't even notice when I had reached 1000 posts.

@Micky C; I can see why that would infuriate you, but you should be greatful you can play competetive sports and against other schools. Over here in the backwards United Kingdom no form of competetive sport (or activities that are otherwise competetive) are permitted in the education system as it provokes competetiveness or some crap like that and apparently makes people appear un-equal.

Personally, I think my country has it wrong, because later in life, if you became the CEO of a company, you would need to be competetive to keep that company alive, on top of that, not everybody is equal at sport (I suck at sport) but those people are likely good at something else (Science for example) that the sporty-types are not.

Now I am going on a rant, I may as well continue, the biggest problem I had with the education system here was that it held me back, at the age of 9 my IQ was around 160 (And a later test when I was about 14 showed it as 186) and I used to finish my work ahead of everybody else, the same applied in the refferal unit and college. As opposed to the system rewarding me for getting 100% in most of my work in less than half the time it took the majority of the class, it holds you back and claims that you are in the wrong for making other people look stupid and that it would not be fair to move you up as it would hold back the rest of your group (WTF?) and make them seem unequal to you.

they wouldn't let the smart kids leave, so we had to sit there for 3 hours waiting for the class to end, we were not allowed to listen to music, eat, drink, smoke or use computers. Of course we got bored and would end up disrupting the class (not intentionally) so all our reports said we were assholes that did nothing but disrupt classes as they rarely report anything good.

I think you are wrong. Did you not see the episode from the week before last? When Peter and Olivia :P

However, there is a chance that they will come up with a new arch for the story line. I hope they keep the show going.

I remember seeing the one when they were kids. I don't really have a good memory, so I probably don't know what happened two weeks ago.

The one last week was good; it certainly explains a lot of unanswered questions.

^ Heretics :P quoting out of context

1 Samuel 9:3 (New International Version, ©2011)
Now the donkeys belonging to Saul’s father Kish were lost, and Kish said to his son Saul, “Take one of the servants with you and go and look for the donkeys.”

1 Samuel 9:3 (New American Standard Bible)
Now the donkeys of Kish, Saul's father, were lost. So Kish said to his son Saul, "Take now with you one of the servants, and arise, go search for the donkeys."

1 Samuel 9:3 (New American Bible)
Now the asses of Saul's father, Kish, had wandered off. Kish said to his son Saul, "Take one of the servants with you and go out and hunt for the asses."

I should start a school for atheist for the proper interpretation of the Holy Scriptures and the Quran. Pissing of 1.5 billion faithfulls is no joke :D

The New American Standard is the closest to what the Hebrew says.

One of my pet projects for a future date is a book titled "The Bible Out of Context: Hysterically Literal Translations of the Bible." I want to go through to point out passages that can be contorted by justifiable linguistic reasons to be funny. Of course, one could take a serious turn and go for the passages that are no laughing matter (such as the bits in Leviticus about sex) but that isn't fun and won't sell to large groups of people; nor will it get people interested in working in the original languages.

Wow that sucks... I can sympathize with that somewhat.

Still trying to understand this quote:

Quote

Peter: Genius, the second you took me, they knew you were behind it all.
Tyler: Whatever. You had no idea I was the one in charge.
Peter: Yeah, you managed to kidnap yourself. Congratulations. You're a criminal mastermind.

Now if you kidnap someone, that's taking someone against their will. However, kidnapping yourself, I don't get it. Taking yourself against your will? It's from that Fringe episode I just watched.

This isn't for Duke - so it's going here, just something I put together in an hour or so whilst I was bored, it's a "Build-ised" version of my old friend's garage, he had parctaically everything in there. I actually drew it more true to what I remember it being like (I think July 2004 was the last time I was ever there before I fell out with the guy, so my memory could be fuzzy) - if I can ever get my scanner going I will dump them in the artist's thread thing, even though nobody seems to like my drawings :P

Dude, people just stop talking. Happens all the time. There are many many people I don't talk to anymore; people I was really really close to in the past. One great piece of advice I received from my father was to make sure to have a brother or family member as your bestman. Friends don't always stick around. So many people I knew in highschool have just fallen off the face of the earth. My college roommate is getting married in November and he has changed "best man" 3 times and 2 of the guys he was going to have in his wedding party have just vanished. One is in prison for child abuse and the other is going to trial for rape. Shit happens, man.

#3263

The only reason why you don't talk to them anymore is because you don't really "need" them. That's not "shit".

That is a rather cynical way to look at stuff. I mean, I'm cynical and shit, but I don't look at friends as people I turn to when I need something. You just lose touch with people. I never needed stuff from friends, I talk to my friend whom I lived with for 2 years in college because he is a good guy I can count on. I have never asked anything from him as far as support emotionally or anything; even my best friend whom I've turned to for some support has been more than a mere "need". He has been there but I have been there for him. That is what makes friends: keeping in touch and standing by your friends. I suppose you could call that "need" but it is something more than that.

Season 2 disc 2 if you've got the Blu-ray version. Episode was called Of Human Action.

Ah. The season not on Hulu...damn. Eventually, I'll watch all the episodes. I've been watching (almost religiously) it since late last year.

My speakers and receiver have been shipped. They are currently in Vancouver and should be here on the 8th.

So I just had something to eat and my cat jumps up on the table and decides he wants to do the dishes, literally. Just starts licking up the scraps off my plate and utensils. What is he a dog or something? :P

Got those speakers just in time. Bought them at $250, and now they are selling at Future Shop for $600.

It was over a girl, more to the point, his girlfriend decided she liked me more, I told her I wasn't interested but she wouldn't leave me alone, one day he had gone to a building site to steal something (he rarely bought anything) and his girlfriend came around, I made a point of occupying myself on Flight Sim 2002 and tried to ignore her, but she shoved her tits in my face just as he came back, he started smashing things up with a hammer and chased me down the road, I never went near him after that because derek was the sort that holds a grudge for a long time and he would likely kill me. Haven't seen him about in a few years though, he may have moved for all I know.

Wow, that's extremely unlucky. Sounds like it would have been a frightening experience too. I guess it's at least comforting to know that girls find you that attractive :P
0

#3270

Correction, girls used to find me attractive, these days they scream abuse at me or cross the street to avoid me, I don't know why. It's ever since I got halfway through that IT course I did at college, it drained me mentally and physically and my looks went to shit, most people think I am about 40 now and women can't stand to be within a mile of me.
